You can convert MP4 to MP3 on Windows using the online conversion tool from Zamzar. Here you can easily convert your file in real-time without the need to download any software.

Alternatively, you can open Windows Movie Maker and upload your MP4 file by clicking ‘Add Video’. Once added, select ‘File’, then ‘Save Movie’, and then navigate to the bottom of the page where you can click the menu option ‘Audio Only’. You’ll be prompted for a file name for your new MP3 file, which you can then save and open as an MP3 file.

You can convert MP4 to MP3 on a Mac using Zamzar. Simply upload your MP4 file, select ‘MP3’ as the ‘Convert to’ option, and then click ‘Convert Now’. Your MP3 file will then be downloadable from the same page.

If you’d prefer to use an on-device application, you can use your Apple QuickTime Player and Apple Music applications together to do this. First, open the MP4 in QuickTime Player and export it as an ‘Audio Only’ file. This will give you an M4A file. Then add the M4A file into Apple Music, navigate to ‘Preferences’, select ‘Files’, then ‘Import Settings’, then choose ‘MP3 Encoder’ as the encoding format you’d like to convert your file to, and then click ‘OK’. Select your M4A file and go to ‘File’ > ‘Convert’ > ‘Create MP3 Version’. Your new MP3 file will then appear in your library.
