Tried the 7D73v16 at first but I had some problems: The M.2 SSD was not been recognized when in the frontal slot (only worked in the back) Sometimes when cold starting the computer the GPU was not recognized by the Mobo and windows, to fix it I had to restart the computer. CPU: Ryzen 7600X

RAM: G.Skill DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000Mhz Flare X5
(F5-6000J3238F16GX2-FX5)
Issue:
In short, I'm currently running my RAM at 4800MHz because my PC freezes when I enable EXPO. I'm curious about the RAM and BIOS you have.
Additional context:
I've noticed several stability improvements in the latest BIOS updates, but I'm uncertain about which one to try.
I reached out to MSI support, and they suggested installing version 7D73v181 (Beta). However, I haven't found much information about this version.
Additionally, when checking the QVL on G.Skill's website, it confirms compatibility between the motherboard and RAM. However, on MSI's website, this particular RAM model is not listed.
Any insights or advice on which BIOS version to try would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, I have the same exact ram, same exact bios version/build date. And i also have the same exact problem.. I know its 6 months late but i just finished building my pc and wondering what did you end up doing to solve the issue? Any insight is more than appreciated.

Dunno really, but I do have the same mobo and except for the latest version 7D73v19 I have had no issues running it via the USB flash button. The issue I had with the latest was that the system never turned off once it was done with the flash but the BIOS reported correct version once I booted into BIOS, but just for safe measure I ran it once again from the same stick but this time from BIOS EZ flash and it completed ok. You're not doing anything wrong as far as I can see, I just run a FAT32 formated old OCZ Rally 16GB USB, downloaded the bios, unpack, rename to MSI.ROM and copy to usb root, plug it into the correct USB flash slot and press the flash bios button on the back and I can see(activity led on USB) that it's reading from it. And this is with all my parts installed, system starts, CPU fans etc until it's done and shut down(well except for this latest version that is). Since your running this "barebone", do your chip/m2 nvme fan start spinning, kinda hard to see and I can't really hear it either and I'm pretty sure mine does? More on reddit.com

Update: fixed it by re-flashing to the older BIOS version 7D73v10. Not sure when rolling back to an older BIOS has been a thing, I just assumed it wouldn't let me, but was pleasantly surprised! More on reddit.com

I agree with the prev comments, but in this case the beta v1F1 is better than the nonbeta v1E. For am5 you will always be a beta tester, so don't worry about it lol Also if you have a samsung 990 or wd sn850x you will need an old bios because bios from this year won't recognize the ssd on the M.2_1 slot (controlled by the cpu). How long did your update take? I’m doing the same thing, it had debug LEDs on for a few mins, then restarted. No LEDs are on now (pc already built) and lights are just on forever. No blinks on either mobo or usb stick, rgb and fans work so I know it is on. Going on 10 mins now. It’s not connected to any monitor, mind you. So I’m afraid to just turn it off More on reddit.com

I built a new PC (with cable management and all that), but when I turned it on, the CPU and DRAM lights were on. After googling, I started trying to update the BIOS, but no matter what I did, it didn't help. Red LED either solid or stop flashing after few seconds
What I have tried:
-different version (7D73v19 and 7D73v1A)
-different names (original and MSI.ROM)
-5 different USB flash drives
-different formatting (FAT32/NTFS and MBR/GPT)
-with and without CPU and RAM
-different RAM slots (one by one)
-clear CMOS button

Did you make sure to rename the BIOS file MSI.ROM and save it to the root of the usb?

Hi, I just built a new machine with the 7900X3D and MSI MPG B650I
I was able to install Windows, everything seemed to work fine, devices connected to USB ports seemed to work fine. While downloading drivers I noticed the BIOS update 7D73v115 was available. The patch notes say:
- AGESA COMBO PI upgrade to PI-1.0.0.5c. - Support new CPU.
I assumed that meant it's to support the X3D processors because the only other BIOS file available 7D73v10 is from 2022-10-11 and preceded the X3D processors. Update went through without a hitch.
After rebooting to Windows, my MX Master 3 stopped working (the model I had preceded the current model with the bolt receiver). I had the receiver connected to the red USB port above the Flash BIOS one in this image.
Cue all the troubleshooting steps; rebooting, resetting BIOS settings, connected various devices to every other port, everything works on every else except that one port. Anyone else experience weirdness with 7D73v115 or have other ideas? I don't believe I can downgrade either.

It's been with me through thick and thin, but it has an awful little chipset fan (you can turn it way down, highly recommend) which barely cools the M.2 drive under it, and you can't install a second M.2 drive without causing games to stutter and crash (something is wrong with the PCIE power delivery), but the BIOS is easy to use and it's basically fine I guess.

Unless the non-beta build is, for some reason, borked for you, it's as No-Limit-1707 said, if you don't want to be beta BIOS tester, don't install a Beta BIOS.
