I turned the gaming mode on via msi dragon center and I didn't notice any difference fps/performance wise other than the colors looked washed out.
What's your experience with it ? Do you use it and do you notice any difference ? Maybe that mode is only for laptops? ( I have a desktop )

Hi there,
Dragon Center has this "Gaming Mode" and Windows 10 also has this "Game Mode" in Settings. Both are enabled/on by default, and I just noticed today
My question is, should I turn them off when not playing games??
This is important for me as I'm nearing the end of the return period of this new laptop. So if turning off these modes can help machine longevity, I will do it.
Thanks in advance.
MSI x470 Gaming Plus MAX is my MOBO does anyone know what exactly game mode or gaming mode does? I have it activated anyway, and my CPU runs from 3.6-4.2ghz (base clock is 3.6ghz anyway, and when I do CPU benchmarks it goes down to 3.6ghz and stays there, so I know its not overclocking my CPU, or at least dont think so)... does anyone know what this does?
Should i keep it in Gaming mode or OC Mode?
I'm new to MSI (first build) and installed the utility to control my RGB mainly.
What does the gaming mode do when I've turned it on?
Is there a comprehenstive tutorial into each of the features anywhere?
I accidentally mashed a bunch of buttons and now my keyboard is in gaming mode. I need access to my windows key, but I can't figure out how to turn off gaming mode. Help is greatly appreciated
I get this attached notification whenever I switch between gaming or working on things. Is this a key I accidentally hit? Is there a way to turn it off? The image says work mode, but it will say intelligent gaming mode when I start any game. Google is no help. It told me to turn game mode off in Windows, which did not work. Edit: Ohh I forgot to put down the model laptop I have. It is a Raider GE68HX 13 VF
