I recently assembled this system (above) and was able to install Linux Mint on it with a few issues. I had to update the NIC driver and manually install the AMD Radeon drivers. Other than that, setup was a breeze.

I wanted to do dual-boot Windows 10 Home so I could use my rig for gaming as well. I downloaded the Win10_2004_English_x64.iso from the Microsoft website and imaged it onto a USB thumb drive. When the installer loads, it does not see any of my drives. I have tried to download the Windows 10 drivers from the MSI website and put them on a separate drive. When the installer prompts me for the drivers and I point it to them, windows tells me there are no new drivers. I'm not really sure what is going on at this point. I've even tried an older version of the windows installer (1909). My BIOS is up to date with the latest build. Again, everything works fine in linux but for some reason Windows can't see any of the drives and the drivers from the MSI website don't seem to make any difference.

Has anyone else run into this issue with Windows not seeing any drives? If so what did you do to fix it? Any other troubleshooting tips I could try?

I just bought a "msi meg x570 unify" and i also bought a "ryzen 9 5950x" and i read that i will need to update the bios with flashback. I just wanted confirmation but on the most recent bios download it only says "support AMD ryzen 7 5800x3d" so i was wondering if this was the compatibility update or not because it doesn't say my cpu it says an older one.

if you also have the problem that nahimic do not work with the provided realtek drivers (driver not found / not compatible hardware found error message), follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html download & extract & start

2. Choose Audio & Realtek -> Clean And Restart (First Left Button)

3. Uninstall Nahimic from windows (if you already installed it through the microsoft store) -> restart

4. After restart, use realtek driver installer provided by the official nahimic downloads and install !only! the realtek driver: https://www.nahimic.com/download/11755/

5. After the Realtek Driver Installation -> restart (should be asked for after the installation)

6. Go back to the nahimic folder and execute the install.cmd as Admin in the "Nahimic_drivers - MSI" - folder

7. Restart the System

8. Install Nahimic from Microsoft Store https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/nahimic/9n36ppmp8s23#activetab=pivot:overviewtab

9. Now if you start Nahimic (Nahimic should be first should "Loading" and than should be usable)

10. But, atm you have not the most up2date realtek / nahimic version. To Update everything, do these further steps:

11. Go to Windows Update -> Make sure to Update Windows & Drivers (found under optional updates -> drivers (Realtek & Nahimic [ A-Volute ]))

12. After everything is up2date, use the official realtek driver, provided under the support page of the mainboard: https://de.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MEG-X570-UNIFY#down-driver&Win10%2064

13. Install Realtek Driver first. It should first uninstall the old driver -> restart -> Install the new version -> restart

14. Now, go back the folder and click on the "Nahimic3RestoreExe-APO3-SWCv1.8.4.0-EXTv1.1.37.64407.exe" in the nahimic folder of the msi download.

15. The setup takes place and ask to restart the system -> yes, restart

16. Now, Nahimic should work with the up2date version with the latest windows updates in place.

17. If Nahimic play no test sound (test button under audio), just restart the system again. But, now everything should work fine.

18. If you also miss the "Realtek Audio Console"-App to control the audio settings (not provided by the realtek msi installer). It can be found in the microsoft store under "realtek audio control" (notice the different naming). 19. After you follow all the steps you should now have a fully working system. Cheers.

RESOLVED

So I recently built my first PC and choose the X570 UNIFY partly because of its built in wifi capability, but upon booting up my system (with the antenna installed and tightly secured), the wifi and bluetooth simply refused to work.

Upon further investigation, I realised that I didn't have the drivers installed, so I did that, however that didn't fix the problem, and I also noticed that the wifi card straight up didn't show up in the device manager.

Consulting my manual, it said that there's supposed to be an Intel wifi card in the form of an m.2 key e card, however looking at both the specifications and under the m.2 heatsinks reveals that there are no key e slots and not a wifi card in sight.

Is this normal? Do I straight up need to just buy a PCIe wifi card?

EDIT: I took apart the IO cover and unscrewed the wifi card's housing, re-seated the card, and now it works.

My X570 Unify with the Realtek RTL8125 nic chip keeps dropping my internet connection. It seems to partially have something to do with using a larger number of connections simultaneously, especially when torrenting or downloading. It also happens seemingly randomly too though. I'll just get the no internet connection available icon in the taskbar tray. It's temporarily fixed if I disable and re-enable the connection in network settings, but I have to keep doing this every couple hours. If I switch to wifi and keep the wired connection disabled I have zero issues, but latency is higher and local lan speed slower.

So far I've tried all the different realtek driver versions straight from realtek, tried the default microsoft driver, updated the bios, changed power and advanced settings in the device properties and tested my router, ports and cables. The only thing I haven't tried is a clean windows installation, but I doubt that would help anyways.

Between this, the terrible audio quality and nahimic, useless customer support, and terrible dragon center software, I highly regret switching from Asus to MSI for my latest build. I would've definitely returned this if I found these issues in the return window.

I just ordered a pcie network card, but it's a last resort. Could anyone suggest a possible solution I haven't already tried? Thanks.

UPDATE: I tried plugging my pc into a different switch and that seems to have solved the problem. The previous switch was a Trendnet TEG s80g, so maybe avoid that particular switch if you have a Realtek RTL8125 on your motherboard. It seems to work fine with the two other PCs and a TV plugged into it though, and worked fine with my older Intel nic based motherboard.

UPDATE 2: It wasn't the switch. Still crashing connection when downloading torrents or streaming video after awhile. I tried a clean Windows install on an older ssd with no change. I bought a used pcie intel network card off ebay. It's working fine, but it's older and doesn't support wake on lan, which I use a lot. Once I can get my hands on a 5900x, I will be selling this mobo on ebay and never using any msi product again.

Seems to be working with limited testing so far. I upgraded from windows 10 to 11 since the last time I tested, so not sure if that has anything to do with it. Crossing fingers that it's fixed.

It looks like MSI is posting newer chipset drivers than on AMD's site. MSI's version is 4.11.23.1945 while AMD is 4.11.15.342. I'll update if versioning changes on anything.
