For motherboard, since you are going after ECC, I would recommend AsRock. Asus if they explicitly mention ECC support.
Nemex has been around a while. While I personally prefer Kingston, they are not always easily available. The problem with ECC RAM is their latency (and occasionally compatibility). I suggest you go with DDR4-3200 Unbuffered ECC (CL22 most likely).

ECC support on the ASUS B450-I motherboard is undocumented. Somebody kindly explain to me, what good integrated graphics are if the MB has no video ports of its own?
Previous answers are correct - it will support using the lower end CPUs with IGPs (APU in AMD marketing speak) but without video out. Most X570 boards are aimed at the enthusiast market where discreet graphics are expected, so overkill for building an APU based system. X470 or B450 boards are a better fit for using integrated graphics.

What bios comes installed? I'm getting a Ryzen 5000 series CPU but I don't have any CPU for a bios update.
I don't know what BIOS comes installed, but this board has the BIOS Flash button on the rear IO panel. With this, you don't need a CPU or RAM installed to flash your BIOS to the latest version.
With this, you just need to have the BIOS update put on a flash drive (you need to follow some steps that you can find online or in the manual of your motherboard), provide power to the motherboard, put the flash drive in the rear IO panel that's labeled for the BIOS, and then press the button to update.

If your doing workstation constant use of the drive Gen4 gets to hot and if it's for gaming, tests show only a couple second improvement in load times from Gen3.
