msi meg x570 unify vs msi b550 unify
B550 Unify has slightly better memory support for high memory OC (think world records.. not usable synced) But B550 Unify is riddled with quality issues (chipset heatsinks break off, coil whine etc) and bios issues (WHEA errors and instability) X570 Unify is a little older but better quality overall and more PCIE lanes. So using all M.2 slots will be at PCIE 4.0 and without loosing GPU lanes. Read on the OCN B550 Unify thread about the issues. It's quite severe. My friend has a X570 Unify and bought a B550 Unify-X just to play around with. He RMA-ed 2 times (No exaggeration) before he got a half decent working board but put it on the shelf for now because the bios sucks. He can't get his CPU to run as well as on the X570 Unify. I'm on the X570 Unify also and was looking for an excuse to get the B550 Unify-X to play with also. But it's just not worth it. More on reddit.com

I have one. Probably one of the best X570 mobos.
More on reddit.comHow's the MSI X570 unify motherboard?
Hardware is great, software is JUNK. If you don't care about the software for the motherboard (E.g. Dragon Center/MSI Center) it's a good pick. Great pick if you hate RGB. More on reddit.com
Someone said i did a mistake buying MSI MEG X570 Unify
Both of those boards are a lower tier than the unify. No reason to be sad. You got one of the best boards out there.
More on reddit.comDoes anyone else have experience with Sabrent Rocket drives on the Unify mobo? I see two reviews. One person says that it worked, the other said the drive wasn't recognized.
It may also be that the board's M.2 heatsink wasn't screwed down all the way or was over-tightened. This happened to my son's Unify. The M.2 wasn't recognized and we backed the screw out a bit and the bios suddenly saw it.

MSI MEG X570 UNIFY AM4 ATX AMD Motherboard - Newegg.com
I don't understand how this MB "Supports 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen / Ryzen with Radeon Vega Graphics and 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen with Radeon Graphics Desktop Processors for AM4 socket" but has no video ports on board. Somebody kindly explain to me, what good integrated graphics are if the MB has no video ports of its own?
Previous answers are correct - it will support using the lower end CPUs with IGPs (APU in AMD marketing speak) but without video out. Most X570 boards are aimed at the enthusiast market where discreet graphics are expected, so overkill for building an APU based system. X470 or B450 boards are a better fit for using integrated graphics.

MSI MEG X570 UNIFY AM4 ATX AMD Motherboard - Newegg.com
Do all 3 M.2 slots support Gen 4 NVME drives?
On MSI spec sheet it says "PCIe 4.0, Triple Lightning Gen4 x4 M.2 with
M.2 Shield Frozr"
If your doing workstation constant use of the drive Gen4 gets to hot and if it's for gaming, tests show only a couple second improvement in load times from Gen3.

MSI's MEG X570 Unify; Solid As The Rock - PC Perspective
December 22, 2020 - The MSI MEG X570 Unify also pleases those who aren’t looking for a motherboard doesn’t make your case look like it houses a highly radioactive clown; for there is a complete lack of RGB-itis. The feature set on this board includes three M.2 connections, a pair of 16x PCIe 4.0 sloty, 2.5 Gbp LAN, WiFi 6, four USB3.2 Gen.2 ports, one of which is USB-C and a huge list of other features which the Guru of 3D lists in their review...

can't really recommend going with msi at all, if you do have a problem their support doesn't seem to want to help. had terrible problems with their customer service on a b450 board, multiple rma returns and crashing problems the whole time, so id go with the x570 and probably a different brand to boot.

October 8, 2019 - So far, MSI has not revealed anything about pricing, only saying that it ‘offers the true value of the motherboard.’ Ignore that, regardless of cutting out RGB, the MSI MEG X570 Unify will still be a board for enthusiast users with an enthusiast price tag. December 13, 2019 - The Unify has excellent vrm support and temps but has one big time issue. The memory tabs are plastic , instead of steel reinforced like on the Ace and most $300 motherboards. The memory tab broke on my Unify a couple of weeks back and I had to pay for repair/replacement.

MSI MEG X570 Unify Motherboard Review - Page 3 of 14
October 24, 2023 - The MSI MEG X570 Unify supports up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM at speeds in excess of 3600MHz. Naturally, it supports dual channel memory mode operation. The slots aren’t color-coded but are marked adequately on the PCB to denote the proper configuration. A single power phase is used for the DIMM slots, which isn’t surprising.

MSI X570 Godlike review: This all-powerful motherboard boasts rare features
The "Godlike" moniker on the MSI X570 motherboard should be a hint that this board is all-powerful, boasting a rare combination of enthusiast-level features. It's just not upgradeable beyond Ryzen 5000. MSI's X570 MSI Godlike motherboard does not want you to confuse it for a mere pedestrian “Extreme” offering—judging by its name alone. If you’re planning to bring a high-end Ryzen CPU to worship at its altar, it will have plenty of features to satisfy. With Z690 competitors already offering next-gen specs such as DDR5, does an X570 high-end motherboard such as this still make sense? We’ll disc

Review: MSi X570 Unify | The Nexus
Overall, the MSi X570 Unify is an absolutely phenomenal motherboard, packed with features way ahead of its time, showing that MSi wanted to maximise the bandwidth capacity of Ryzen 3000 CPUs. My only issue with the X570 Unify is that the lack of RGB - which I am sure many will praise - does prevent you from customising it so you are limited to a minimalist/blacked out build but that’s all down to personal preference. With results only slightly lower than the MEG X570 ACE, the Unify is a worthwhile addition to the MSi X570 lineup, and one of the better Ryzen 3000 motherboards you can buy...
