Every so often when I shut down my machine I'll attempt to boot it up and the MSI logo just spins while my motherboard flips between 30 and 31 post codes. This is a new build, with a MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI board and a Intel i7 13700kf CPU. Only way to fix this issue afterwards is to restore the PC to an earlier state. If I leave it in sleep mode it works just fine waking up. Sometimes I can't get the windows repair screen to come up either, it'll tell me it's opening automatic repair and then the screen just goes blank.
PC Motherboard showing a number of error codes 32, 31, 35, 34, 36, 58
Error code 30/31 with 4 sticks ddr5 ram.
MSI M170a Code 31 No Video
if you have the graphics card in then the monitor should be connecting to that, not the motherboard
if that is what you are doing already then try removing the graphics card and connecting to the motherboard instead to use the cpu's integrated graphics

Hi All,
I have a new build that I have already taken apart once and reseated the NVME drive, the AIO, the CPU and all major components.
Running a 14900k with Hyte AIO, Asus dark hero maximus motherboard and Corsair 7200 ram.
I think the problem is around the fact that I have 2 NVME drives, 1 is picked up but the other one can be seen in bios and device manager but not in disk manager or my computer?
Does anyone know what drivers or bios to update to get the drive working and the error messages to stop? Happy to provide whatever extra information?
Just put together a new build: Asus z790 hero motherboard Trident z5 16gb 6000 (36-36-36-39 1.35v) i13700k (windows 10 pro 64bit) Aorus master 4090.
2 sticks of ram boot fine. I try 4 sticks and I end up with memory error codes and a blank screen. Xmp 1 profile set. All drivers up to date in asus aurmor crate app. I can interchange any 2 sticks so theyre all in working order. Computer just doesnt want to boot with 4, even in safe mode or bios.
Any advice would be appreciated. Im running out of troubleshooting ideas at this point.

Describe your problem. List any error messages and symptoms. Be descriptive.
I'm building my own PC. I have everything together, I turn on the PC and the lights turn on and the fans work but I do not get any video on my monitor. The monitor does not seem to have any input as it just has an amber color on it.
On my Mobo I'm getting an error code of 30 and 31 that periodically swap between each other. After some reboots it may show an error code 29. I haven't been able to find anything on the internet about these
List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem.
Rebooting computer, holding in power button for 30 seconds with power cables unplugged, reseating ram, swapping ram, leaving only 1 ram stick in (tried with both individually), i've tried a different monitor as well
Post relevant photos of build/parts here.
I don't think there are any relevant photos but if you need some, let me know!
Provide any additional details you wish below.
I don't even get to bios so I can't do anything with it.
Thanks for everyone's help!
Hiya all,
I'm rebuilding my gaming rig and got a new msi z170a m5 mobo, an i5 6600k cpu chip, two sticks of patriot 16gb ram and an r9 380x gpu from. Asus.
I slotted the cpu, applied paste and attached the cooler and left a stick of ram in while breadboarding to test out of my haf 912 case. Immediately got error code 32 on the debug display on the mobo, no optical signal or anything else coming out (there's a dvi out on this board so I tested that).
Error code 32, according to the manual, means "early cpu initialization". I'm not really sure what it means or how to remedy. In my experience, when breadboarding fails this early on, that usually means a trip back to frys....
Any ideas on what to do people? I reset the cmos so there's not much more I can think of doing at this point other than replacing parts. Thanks for any ideas!
Built my PC last night with a 9900x3d and a MSI MPG MPG X870E EDGE TI Motherboard. The first code i got was just an EC code, though switching my RAM from slots 1 and 3 to 2 and 4 resolved that issue, where it then went into switching between codes 33 and 34 for a while. I then tried to do the bios update via the button on the back since I can't get to the bios screen, which went well I think. But now the code sits at 30 with no display output. Havnt gotten the machine to post once so I'm at a loss to what the next step should be.
