July 2, 2022 -

Hi,

For whatever reason my board whenever it restarts properly gets stuck on Error Code 64 (or if I boot it from off). It’s a new board. However if I use the reset button it will boot normally and function normally until I once again reboot the machine.

Currently running BIOS 7D28vA4 and have tried the following:

CMOS Clear Reflash of BIOS Reformat Temps are fine and benchmarks pass in the OS.

If I do resets too often, it also deletes my NVMe Raid0, says it failed, and forces me to reformat.

Occasionally I will see it get stuck on Error 98, again fixed by hitting the reset button on the controller.

Specs: i9-12700ks 2x 16gb ddr 5 5600 Corsair Rog 3080ti

All default settings, XMP1 has no negative or positive affect.

r/buildapc on Reddit: Z390 Aorus Ultra error code 64, can't get to BIOS screen
February 16, 2020 -

First time building a PC, got everything put together today but I can't get the BIOS screen to even show up. The error code I was getting at first was A6: "Detect and install all currently connected SCSI devices," but after switching the HDMI input from my MoBo to my GPU the error code switched to 64: "CPU DXE Initialization is started." Got stuck on both of these error codes and can't get BIOS screen to display either time.

Here's some things I've tried so far:

-Resetting CMOS

-Removing and reinstalling my SSD

-Removing my second graphics card and booting up with one

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

Motherboard error codes explained - For Gigabyte, ASUS, and MSI motherboards
February 5, 2024 - There’s no website dedicated to finding Gigabyte fault codes, but we have put together a list of the most common Q-Codes on Gigabyte motherboards. The most common Gigabyte Q-Codes seem to be AB, 27, 70, D0, 03, and DB. Thankfully, a website exists dedicated to finding ASUS fault codes. Tap your code into ASUSQCode and get answers in seconds. The most common ASUS Q-Codes are A2, 55, 99, 80, 76, 40, and 62. There’s no website built specifically for MSI fault codes, but there is a dump of ALL fault codes that can be found on MSI motherboards over on the MSI forums.
