Alienware Command Center feels like a really terrible program.
Lucky your AWCC is recognizing its an Alienware system. the new AWCC releases don't even detect on mine making it useless. Had to revert to a 2020 version which i luckily had saved in a backup which detects and works More on reddit.com

Hey Folks, I sent a message to the software team and this looks to be an issue with AWCC 5.X. If you're running the newer AWCC versions it shouldn't be an issue, so no need to uninstall those. Waiting to hear back on what happened or any steps for resolution so in the meantime either updating to AWCC 6.X if you can, or uninstalling Command Center should work to stop the notification for now. Will update when I get more information (but most likely that will be in the morning). Pylawn UPDATE: Team is looking into this and it appears to be a Windows/Microsoft store error. Will update again when I have more details but it is not exclusive to Alienware Command Center. UPDATE 2: I don't have any official update yet as things are still being tested and validated, but a couple options we're seeing fixing it: Simple reboot as it looks like Microsoft may have fixed the issue on their end Reset the Windows store (Press Win+R and type "wsreset") Reset Command Center (Settings > Installed Apps > Alienware Command Center > Scroll down and click Reset) Once I have some verified answers I'll update the post with more info! The command center is mainly used to control and switch the LED lighting. The fans will work fine without it, though i recommend keeping it installed for easy dimming of the LEDs

I'm sure I am forgetting stuff but this ACC is a shit software program. I have an Aurora R16 that is brand new along with 2 Dell AW2723DF monitors. It's just a shit show trying to get any of it to work like I want.

I just uninstalled mine completely and my in-game performance has never been better.

Do the same thing with this command, and delete any "Alienware" folder you see. Now, go to "C:/Program Files/Alienware", and only delete the "Alienware Command Center" folder. If there are any older versions of the Command Center on your system, they will be located in "C:/Program Files(x86)", so be sure to check those folders as well.

keep getting this pop-up, its very frequent and makes the pc functionally useless because it will not go away. I tried reinstalling ACC and the wizard keeps saying its not compatible with my pc, even though its an alienware pc xP. Clicking "get help with this" brings up an empty microsoft store page. any help appreciated thank u

To stop the Alienware Command Center (AWCC) error notification (0x803F8001), first try stopping the app in Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del > Details > End Task on AWCC), then disable it at startup (Task Manager > Startup > Disable) Try this it killed the notification for now

So I was wondering is the Alienware Command Center even needed? What would happen if you uninstalled it? Would the fans be at a constant speed and not be able to go up and down due to heat produced?

Soooo I just did my first reset on my Dell G15 5515 Ryzen and I see this hasn't been updated in 5 years.
Without AWCC my framerate is cut in half on any given game.
Far Cry 5 - Went from 30s/40s to 80s/90s
GTA 5 - Sat at 60 without, pushing 120 with
Jedi Fallen Order - went from early 40s to mid 80s
Kinda stupid that you have to have it on to get the full performance.
TL;DR - If you have a Dell Laptop, you will need AWCC (Open in background when playing)

I have an Alienware m18 R2, and was an idiot and uninstalled alienware command center (the one that was preinstalled, where you can change your settings such as quiet mode, balanced, overdrive, etc as well as keyboard light colors). Could some kind soul please send a link or instructions on how to get it back? I've looked online and cannot figure it out.

Wait, I was hoping there was a proper installer for Alienware 17.3 (or just Alienware 17) because I wanted to change my keyboard lights, although my dad uninstalled it for some reason.
