r/chrome on Reddit: Google chrome doesn't remember one of my profile automatic log ins
February 16, 2024 -

Hey guys, I have multiple profiles with for different emails that divides personal and work stuff. Anyways, I don't know but from a certain point, if i exit this one specific profile, it logs me out of all the google/youtube. Other chrome profile still remembers all my login. I've logged in and turned the sync on but when i exit and go back to that profile, it will say 'paused' on the sync and once again logged out of everything.

Please help! :)

I'd be glad to help you with the Chrome profile login issue. Here are the consolidated steps based on the insights provided, addressing both common causes and potential edge cases: 1. Check Browser Settings: Disable clearing cookies and data: Open Chrome. Click More > Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data. Uncheck "Cookies and other site data" and "Browsing history" under "On exit." Ensure this setting is the same for all Chrome profiles. Enable "Sign in to Chrome": Click More > Settings > You and Google. Under "Other Google services," turn on "Allow Chrome sign-in." This allows profiles to share Google account credentials if desired. 2. Address Third-Party Interference: Temporarily disable extensions: Go to chrome://extensions. Toggle off all extensions to rule out conflicts. Re-enable them one by one to identify the culprit if necessary. Check security software: Some security programs might interfere with browser settings. Temporarily disable or adjust relevant settings to see if it resolves the issue. 3. Manage Profile Sync: Ensure correct Google Account: Verify that the account you're attempting to sync is the one logged in to the problematic profile. Check for typographical errors in the email address. Disable and re-enable syncing: Go to More > Settings > You and Google > Sync and Google services. Turn off "Sync" entirely, then restart Chrome. Go back to the settings and turn "Sync" back on. This can sometimes refresh the sync process. Create a new profile: As a last resort, consider creating a new Chrome profile dedicated to the problematic account. Make sure syncing is enabled for this new profile. 4. Address Account-Specific Issues: Confirm account status: Ensure your Google account is in good standing (no security issues, login approvals required). Verify you have two-factor authentication enabled for added security. Clear browser cache and cookies: Follow the steps in step 1 for the specific profile experiencing the issue. Reset Chrome settings: Go to More > Settings > Advanced > Reset and clean up > Restore settings to their original defaults. This might resolve potential configuration issues within Chrome. 5. Additional Tips: Update Chrome: Make sure you're using the latest Chrome version to benefit from bug fixes and security improvements. Clear browsing data selectively: If necessary, try clearing only cached images and files while leaving cookies and site data intact. This can help preserve login information while removing other temporary data. Seek Google Account support: If the issue persists, contact Google Account support for further assistance. They can help diagnose account-specific problems. By following these steps systematically and troubleshooting potential causes, you should be able to resolve the Chrome profile login issue and keep your accounts synced seamlessly.
