I’m a Google photos user since they launched the service. Had lots of old family pics on the service, even manually edited the dates. I just can’t find ANYTHING before 2011 on the app. I’m really hoping these files are not lost. Anyone facing similar issues?

Looking for some help.

In the last two days, Google photos has restored every single photo on my GP to my gallery on my android phone. When I delete from my gallery, it's now deleting from my GP too automatically. I don't want to turn off sync, as I want any new photos synced onto GP, I just want to go back to how it was.

Any idea how to fix this? I can't find a solution online.
