We’re a dealer for both brands. But having seen the Orion in person I can tell you that it’s probably the most realistic electric flame on the market. Napoleon’s gas line and grills are awesome. But their electric do not compare to the Modern Flames. We sold a Napoleon Electric log set to a customer that they ended up returning because it just seemed too fake. The Orion has heliovision technology that not only creates a realistic flame but makes it appear as if the flame has depth through the use of projection technology. I know zilch about fireplaces/stoves but am comparing this to a bigger (I think Hearthstone) and presumably better one for about $2200 more - are more expensive fireplaces generally much better in quality? Or are they more like cars, where more expensive means more gadgets & fanciness but not necessarily better quality? More on reddit.com

I don't know of any Napoleon electric fireplace with bluetooth, only gas as far as I know. Fireplace companies can be a little behind with the tech in my experience.

I need to buy an electric fireplace to put into a renovation for my in-laws. It will be direct-wired for additional heat, and we have plenty of space for framing. I think I have it narrowed down to the Napoleon Elevation vs the Modern Flames Orion, both in 43" configuration. Does anyone have any thoughts on these two comparatively?
