New Napoleon oasis outdoor kitchen feature and PRO665 Built-In with the safety glow knobs
Nice! I just purchased a 2016 Pro500 and love it.
For those interested the safety glow knobs are an upgrade kit for us older models.
More on reddit.comHello gents,
Can anybody give me an honest user feedback of the Napoleon oasis kitchen cabinets after some time of use?
I want to build my outdoor kitchen but without having to brick or any major contractor work involved. My idea was to buy the Napoleon oasis outdoor modular kitchen cabinets which IMO seems quite durable for outdoor use.
I’m going for something like this as the pictures but with the Napoleon 700 series big 38 and dual burner sizzle zone or power burner not decided yet which one.
Any feedbacks for the sizzle zone/power buner is Also welcomed
Thx and happy grilling
I'm retiring my Bull island after ~15 years - tile countertop disintegrated, grill head and accessory handles are corroded and rusted beyond repair, fridge died years ago. Replacing the components would cost more than a new setup, and I wouldn't mind downsizing a bit - I never used the fridge or cooler, never sat at the bar, and only used the side burner during power outages.
I'm torn between a portable unit vs. an outdoor kitchen / island, a little overwhelmed with options that I'm not able to see in person. I live on a canal in South Florida, so salt air is a consideration. I can move a portable grill farther away from the canal and pool when not in use, so that seems like an advantage - but I'll miss the space and look of an island.
I've narrowed my search to Napoleon (probably Prestige Pro for superior materials, either 500 or 665), Mont Alpi (MAi805-90), and NewAge (Grove Platinum Grill and stand, drawers, and side burner). Leaning toward the Prestige Pro 665 which would set me back ~$3200 via Greentoe. Mont Alpi is ~$4900, same for the NewAge configuration - but these are islands with countertop space and more storage.
Hoping maybe someone has more recent / longer term experience with the Mont Alpi or NewAge options - both have somewhat limited reviews online. Mont Alpi claims to be marine grade stainless, which would be a big bonus if true. I like the look of NewAge, but found some quality complaints, and very little on the quality the grill (which I believe is made in China, same as Mont Alpi, vs. Canada for Napoleon).
I've found a ton of Napoleon fans, which is swaying me that direction, but assume I would need to go with the more expensive Pro option to avoid rust. The smoker and extra real estate would push me toward the 665 vs 500, but I'm typically only cooking for two.
Appreciate any feedback on these options as well as using Greentoe vs. a local retailer.
