February 23, 2018 - Prestige pro, and prestige are identical except prestige pro has: -9mm grates instead of 7mm (IMO 7 is better) -stainless steel side burner grate instead of cast -built in ice bucket/cutting board -stainless warming rack instead of chrome -interior cabinet lights, and grill lites -led lighting for gas knobs Prestige pro is 2200, and the prestige is 1600. Price difference of 600 bucks. I couldn’t care less about the ice bucket, or led lighting. I do care about the stainless grate and warming rack which I can upgrade the prestige for 150 bucks more which means the price difference of 450.

I am on summer 14 on my Prestige 450. Covered all the time. Cleaned once per year. Will spend what what it takes to replace it when the time comes. Likely 1-2 more years in it. That's what I was hoping to hear! We bought a Weber Q series that's on year 8 with only a replacement grill top and burner set. The igniter still works and I may have changed the battery once. The only reason I'm not thinking Weber is the IR searing station on the side you can get on the Napoleon...

I've just finished a big move and finally got by beloved Napoleon Prestige 450 out of storage (where it sat for 18 months). Sadly, moving wasn't kind to it; shelves got bent, control panel got bent, some well intentioned mover decided to pop the control knobs off and two of the springs got lost. Getting connected to gas, I spent some time cleaning out all the burner orifices, re-bending sheet metal to get the knobs to install and work (no springs...they keep popping off if I put the springs in).
And sadly...once I got it lit up...a break in the middle burner strip causing massive flaring and flame leakage. (Good news... rotisserie burner works exactly right)
So.... try to repair/replace parts as necessary? or replace with new Prestige 500.. or maybe 665? We pretty much cook outdoors 9+ months/yr, frequent rotisserie users, rarely cook for more than 2, but when we do, it's for 10 or more (but also have Napoleon TravelQ on hand for extra grill space(note....surprisingly amazing capabilities for it's size....))
What would you do? Repair? Replace with Prestige 500? or???
