Looking to purchase a natural gas bbq. Liking napoleon with the side IR burner.

Both grills are the same price CAD $1449.

Rogue xt 525 sib - benefits: stainless grids, less maintenance

Full disclosure - we are a young family of 5, our best friends down the street are also 5, so i can regularly see cooking for 10+ people when we host bbq’s

Is the cast iron really that much of a pain to maintain?

My only prior experience is with cheaper grills that rusted out quickly (admittedly i didnt season them properly)

Their cast iron is porcelain so it's fine. Best of the best is their cast stainless grates which came on my Phantom Prestige 500.

I find seasoning in general to be a pain. You’re still supposed to season stainless grates but it’s obviously less imperative. I always prefer stainless.
