Hey everyone, I purchased Napoleon rogue XT 425 couple weeks ago from Lowe's. It's a good grill I was actually comparing it to the Weber. A couple things I Don't care for are The hotspot on the grill isn't in the back it's in the front right area closest to the gas feed and it almost feels like there's no heat in the back, which brings me to the next issue, and airy burner. If I set the burners to low I get a blowtorch airy sound coming from 1 or 2 burner, And the other issue is they will eventually go out. I'm thinking about just biting the bullet and jumping up to a Weber Genesis probably three burner model. I think it's about 200 bucks more than this one was. Has anyone used one of those new Genesis models? Thoughts? If there's anything anybody else has been using that's worth looking into let me know. I'm probably just going to get it at Lowe's as I can do the exchange there
I'm new to grilling and am looking to buy a grill. A big incentive is because when I'm cooking inside on my gas stove, the smoke is dirtying the ceiling above it despite having the fan on. For this reason, I'm looking at a grill with a side burner so I can use a wok for some high heat cooking outside. Would the infrared on the Napoleon be better for this despite having a lower BTU of 9000 versus the 12000 on the Weber?
More importantly, will the Weber be good enough for searing steaks, burgers, and salmon with its sear zone or should I go for the Napoleon that has a higher BTU?
Any other grills I should look at? Should I look into get a smoke box if I want to add some of that charcoal taste despite using a gas grill?
