October 4, 2024I'm so used to audiobooks that I've started using a text to speech chrome extension to listen to internet articles.
I don't think I could bring myself to stop listening to an audiobook to listen to the article :) I find I can sometimes read/skim through small articles, reddit posts etc without having to pause an audiobook (typing is a different story though). I'm also, depending on the book able to listen while watching sports like UFC, boxing etc. Now back to the book. More on reddit.com

I've been looking for a good text to speech extension that sounds kinda natural but is actually free. sometimes ill try one and it will be awesome but then like 10 minutes in, it wants me to pay 100 bucks to listen. anyone got any natural TTS that's free?

try my chrome extension readvox.com I made only english language so far. It works with almost any web page, google docs, kindle books, etc. Let me know if you'd wish some adjustments to it.
