I got a loan for 10k about 11 months ago with NFCU for 3 years I been paying it off way early than I should making big payments toward the loan reason being I’m trying to pay it off in the next 2 months so I can apply for another loan for like 30k what’s the chance of them approving me or denying? Will I get penalized for paying the loan way too early?
I’m 20 and have been with Navy Federal for about 7 months. My credit is 720+ across all bureaus. I currently have a $7,500 pledge loan that’s 7 months in with perfect payment history, plus a $750 Navy Fed secured card I’ve had for about the same amount of time, also never late. The issue I’m running into is income i don’t have a job right now, so no current income. I’m considering applying for a small personal loan around $4.5k. I do have a family co-signer who makes about $2,400/month, but she was denied for a personal loan on her own a month ago, possibly because she only has a checking account with Navy and no other products, which makes me hesitant. I’m just trying to figure out whether approval is realistic in my situation, or if it makes more sense to wait until my secured card graduates or my pledge loan is paid off before applying.
i am 21 with a 645 credit score with only one piece of credit history that comes from an auto loan from 2023, and that loan is still being paid off and is through a different agency than navy federal. times are tough right now and i have some pretty expensive obligations coming up really soon. And i want to apply for a personal loan through navy federal to help me get through this, but i dont want to put my already fairly low credit score at risk. (because navy fed does a hard credit pull for personal loans).
I've heard the approval process is kinda random and some people get it and others just get rejected.
I'm just looking advice on whether or not i might get accepted.
Hey guys, I've been seeing post about the credit limit increases, but I'm curious about a personal loan with NFCU. I've been a member for about 2 years. Started with $3000 credit limit on more rewards, then they gave me a $6000 CLI ($9000 total now) without me asking or even knowing at the time. Typically don't carry much of a balance. How's the process of personal loans. I bought a duplex a few months ago & looking to spend some money there as well as buy a car from private seller. I rather not use my emergency fund and leverage the debt just for my own warped sense of security. What's you guys thoughts NFCU personal loans?
I've called Cust. Service several times and get a different response each time. I'm going to buy a basic used Honda, Toyota or Mazda of a few years old. Still researching.
Somewhere I read that Navy Federal will pre-approve me (hard pull) for a car loan of whatever they determine I qualify for. Other reps there say I have to know the exact car I want so they can determine the exact rates for that car or if I even qualify.
I'd rather not try to qualify for a car, they do a hard pull, I get rejected, try again with a smaller car, get rejected, go through it all again and end up with 5 hard pulls and a moped.
