Good armor appearance for necro? (i.e. scary/death themed)

I think the most obvious choice would be the arah dungeon set. Perhaps combined with final rest (but again - pretty generic) I have a sylvari necro and am still waiting for a dark dye to drop to go with a decayed plant theme (she's wearing sylvari cultural armor tier 1) EDIT: check out this site - http://www.gw2armorgallery.com/ More on reddit.com

What gear should I get for my necro? And what build for that specific gear?

Generally any fractal / raid build is just a good balanced build. Sometimes they rely on others providing healing or boons though, so might be just dps. Basically they should be fine, but if you need a bit more survivability to them you can just swap some traits or utility skills out and go with that. Open world is never really too hard to need much survivability if you are OK at dodging and positioning. More on reddit.com

Rabid and carrion work just fine for open world until you get the desired set. Find the most suitable ways for you to get viper here : https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Tanetris/So_You_Want_To_Gear_a_Character Another thing to mention: you can simply get berserker exotics and play power necro until you get viper for condi. That way you dont have to delete the old armor (like you would with rabid/carrion) and you get to have 2 builds available. More on reddit.com

Hi guys!

I am going to make a Necro. I don't care about gender or race - I only care about armor/aesthetics!

So, do you guys have any pics/suggestions for scary/death themed armor sets for necro?

Hello! I'm a new player (just started like 4 days ago) and a level 41 necro. I know I'm not level 80 yet, but I plan to take this game seriously so much so that I have already bought the expansions. I played GW1 way back and took a long break from MMOs after that, but I still really love the lore of GW.

I'm planning to get an exotic gear first once I hit level 80. I saw on metabattle that there are specific builds for open world, fractals/dungeons, and raids. These are the content that I would love to get into. But does this mean I have to get three separate gears/armors for each game mode?

tl;dr, Ultimately, I would like to know if there is a good starter gear and build for necro that can fit both open world and fractals/dungeons. For example, would Reaper Power DPS be also good for open world solo & roaming despite being designed for fractals & raids?

Focusing solely on your six armor slots... Get a cheap Berserker's set as your entry level set for power builds. The extra vitality is really nice and Reaper hits hard. You can't buy it on the TP though, so you have to craft it yourself. You'll need a 400 Tailor. Hello all, I planned to come back to GW2 after 3 years. Back in the days I had a lvl 80 Druid who wasn’t completely equipped. Now I want to play a necromancer because I think they are cool and I heard, that they are good in solo open world. I just saw that they are build with viper armor. Isn’t viper Armor quite expensive? Is there an alternative build or class for solo open world?

Power reaper is the way to go for solo open world, that uses full berserker armor, which has very cheap exotic armor on the trading post - search for "Zhed's" as its much cheaper than crafted berserker armor
