I bought a hybrid Nectar mattress for $700 in March of 2023. It is now May of 2025 and my new Saatva mattress is scheduled for delivery today. Why
? Because that cheap Nectar mattress gave out about a month ago and my back is killing me. There is a huge sag in the middle and I can't get a good night sleep on it. Granted, it is on an adjustable base but that shouldn't matter according to their website. They say they will replace it if there is a particular number of inches of sag (2 inches I believe) but I am nowhere near that point. I'll be a cripple before I meet that criterion. By the way, I am 6 feet tall and 190 Lbs, nothing out of the ordinary. Quite frankly, the thought of having to fight for God knows how long to try and remedy the situation makes my head hurt. I am far too busy to deal with it. I need my sleep!
In addition to the horrible product, I discovered that II was not able to post a review on the Nectar website. This tells me that those ratings are false. So, bad product and blatant lying. Screw Nectar! You couldn't pay me to sleep on one of their trash heaps again. I'll post a review about the Saatva once it's broken in a bit.
Hey guys, I’ve narrowed my mattress search down to Nectar.
My wife and I currently have a generic memory foam mattress in a box from Amazon, and we’ve had it about 9 months. After 4-5 months, we had to rotate it due to a pit being formed where we lied. Now we’re feeling a out again and have decided to get a higher quality mattress instead of following the same routine again.
We like to sit up and watch TV at night, so stability to support us is a major need. I’m 6’1” about 250, she’s 5’4” about 180. We don’t necessarily have a primary way we sleep since we both move around and switch sleep positions during the night.
My question is should I go with a Nectar Original or Nectar Hybrid? We like the idea of a medium firm with the original, but also like the stronger support coils of the Hybrid.
Any input is greatly appreciated!!

Howdy folks, I just wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone else who’s on the fence.
I’m a 63 yearold woman and I’ve had lower back pain for years (thanks, degenerative disc disease 😅). I’ve tried everything: memory foam toppers, firmer beds, even one of those crazy expensive name-brand mattresses that promise the world. Nothing stuck. I’d wake up stiff, sore, and cranky.
A few months ago, after way too many late nights doomscrolling reviews, I decided to try the Nectar Hybrid Mattress specifically the one that combines memory foam and springs. I figured it was ny last attempt before shelling out for a custom orthopedist bed.
Holy smokes. This mattress has been a game changer. I noticed a difference the first week. It has just the right amount of give while still supporting my back, and I no longer feel like I’m sinking into a swamp. Even my dog (a 14-year-old beagle, my old girl named Rosie) prefers this mattress now and sleeps right in the middle of it.
Honestly, I don’t write reviews often, but this thing deserves a shoutout. If you’re older like me, or just have chronic pain and nothing’s worked — try the Nectar Hybrid. I’m finally sleeping through the night again and waking up without that knife-in-the-back feeling.
Happy to answer any questions if you're thinking about getting one.
❤️
Last night was my first night using my new Nectar Hybrid and this thing is like a slab of concrete. The paperwork says that it can take up to 48 hours to properly settle and all but I’m already thinking that this thing was a mistake.
I will say that, while my back still hurts like crazy, I did wake up with virtually no hip pain, which is a first for me in decades. So I’m on the fence. I kinda think that I should have went with just the memory foam and not the hybrid with springs, but I don’t know crap. I wanted a Sleep Number but I’m not paying $2,000+ for a twin bed; that’s ridiculous.
Anyway, should I try to force them to honor their 365 Night Trial (which I’ve now read is virtually impossible to make them do) or should I give it a few more nights? Does anyone have experience with this bed?
Hello everyone I am looking to purchase a mattress and narrowed it down to Nectar.
I am 5"7, 140 pounds. I am single (no partner concerns movement mattress wise). I had an bad car accident 15 years ago and experience moderate lower back pain occasionally. Its not sufficient for me to consider any type of medication. I had a cat scan and they found that I have a disc on my lower back that is degrading but not concerning enough to keep me from leading an active lifestyle.
With that being said, picking my next mattress, I want to get the most comfortable and support option available which lead me to the Nectar Ultra or Ultra Hybrid.
I went on the nectar website to speak to a customer service agent on chat and they where not very helpful just kept on providing feedback which is in no relation to my questions.
I decided on the Ultra because:
A. It appears to be the top of the line, flagship, premium, luxurious, lol all of the above from their offerings.
B. It appears to be the coolest which is important to me.
C. It appears to be a very thick mattress.
D. I am going to purchase the adjustable frame to also watch tv and relax and the sinc in appeal while relaxing is very appealing to me.
D. I have casual lower back pain and was told that this would craddle and resolve.
Things to consider.
I have never owned a memory foam mattress but have always wanted one. I have tried out a temperpedic in their showroom and fell in love with them which is why i am no planning on memory foam.
I find traditional mattresses to be some what to hard and firm and the reason that my back hurts when it does.
I was told by the sales person on nectar.com that the hybrid offers "foam" similar feeling but that its like having a traditional bed with a memory foam topper. I have that now and not a fan. Maybe its because i have a serta 3" memory foam topper on my current bed and it does nothing for me.
Thank you for your feedback.
I’m a side sleeper and typically love the memory foam feel. However, I don’t like when I sink in too much and feel stuck on the bed.
Does anyone have this and would you recommend it? I would appreciate any feedback/thoughts on this. And if it’s worth $1500?

Hey everyone!
My partner and I are thinking about getting a queen-sized nectar mattress (the regular memory foam one) after looking at a ton of options. We’ve both been researching a lot and even checked out a few nectar mattress Reddit threads, but it’s hard to know what’s legit.
We’re both around 5’6” and average weight, and we’re both side sleepers dealing with neck and back pain. I’ve even got some hip pain that makes sleeping uncomfortable, so finding the right mattress is a big deal for us. We want to keep our budget under $1,000, and the Nectar looks like it could be a great value. But after reading so many reviews and nectar mattress reddit discussions, everything is starting to blur together.
If you’ve tried a nectar or have any insights from other reddit posts, we’d love to hear your thoughts! Is it really worth it for side sleepers? Does it help with pain, and how does it hold up over time? Appreciate any honest experiences you can share.
Thanks so much!
Has anyone tried both?
I’m looking at Nectar’s lineup and can’t decide between the all-foam vs their hybrid model. I’ve read the foam is more contouring, but I worry it might trap too much heat. The hybrid supposedly sleeps cooler and has a bit more bounce, but I’m not sure if it feels supportive enough for side sleepers with shoulder/hip pressure points.
If you’ve owned either (or both), how was your sleep quality? Did you notice a big difference in firmness or durability over time?
Would love to hear real experiences before I pull the trigger.
Long story short - my 10-year-old Paramount memory foam mattress is sagging in the middle and is likely causing a pinched nerve in my right leg. Not fun. I need to replace it ASAP.
After doing some reading and watching some videos showcasing and critiquing the mattress, I decided that this one was my best option. I visited a local home appliance store so I could get a feel for it first. It was super comfortable compared to what I'm sleeping on now. The firmness felt perfect for what I need. That sold me.
After paying for the mattress and scheduling the delivery for this weekend, I came to Reddit. Everybody here hates Nectar.
Of course, one of the primary complaints is dealing with their customer service, which is a bullet I will be dodging having bought through a retailer. The main concern is the use of fiberglass inside the mattress. I've read some conflicting information, as there is some belief that Nectar may no longer be using fiberglass. If that is the case, then I think I'll be fine with the mattress.
If not... I don't know what to do. I do have the option to cancel before delivery this weekend. I'm a super cautious person by nature and don't want to deal with any fiberglass leaks. I would also prefer to not have another mattress that starts sagging on me after a few years, which is another complaint I have read about Nectar.
It's a little sketchy that they lied about their products being made in the USA, but that won't necessarily affect my experience so I'm not too concerned.
Any input for me, specifically about the newer line of Nectar hybrids?
Greetings all. I just purchased a Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress, queen, and it is too soft for me. I have a ton of back problems. I need a firm mattress, I bought this one after reading reviews that they were medium-firm. It is just too soft, does not provide enough support. It is on an Ikea slatted frame, slats are 2 3/4 inches apart.
Their website lists the Nectar Hybrid as "firm." Anyone tried one? Anyone tried both and can describe the difference in firmness?
The bed is great as far a quality, at least for the week I have had it, I just need more support.
Any thoughts or recommendations are greatly appreciated.
My wife and I have been shopping adjustable frames and new mattresses; one of us has lower back pain if sleeping on their back. Our ideal budget is around $4k. We have really enjoyed the Zero Gravity position and split kings that we’ve tried. I like the cooling, the wife does not.
When in this range what would you suggest? For reference, our favorite was TempurPedic’s “Medium” Matresses, but they were about 3x what we ideally would spend for a Split King with adjustable base.
We saw that the top of the line Nectar was 15”, but older reviews on this site keep mentioning to avoid the Nectar/Copper lineup. Is this new Nectar Luxe Hybrid 15” worth trialing, and is it possible to return for free, or is it impossible to rebox and return and do they sneak in fees?
If this is still an avoid, can you suggest what you recommend and why?
150lb side sleeper/horse person (history of injury) & 180lb side sleeper. Looking for a queen size and I prefer a plusher feel but with some support. I’m currently dealing with shoulder issues so any recommendations for mattresses that don’t make one’s shoulder hurt are welcome and appreciated - not dead set on the two brands in the title!
I just pulled the trigger on boring. they will refund the difference if you see it for cheaper in the trial period. Also the no slump replacement within 3 years seems pretty nice (in addition to the normal warranty). Also the price was pretty decent and the pedigree of the founders seems good.
Stumptown. Shoulder feel great. All over feel great. Great quality and customer service.
We just got a Nectar Premier Hybrid and have slept in it for two nights now, but for some reason I feel it may be too soft as it feels like I am sinking down when I move on it or even get in and out of bed and I am a rather small person 5’1” 120lbs. I don’t know if this is normal, something I am not used to and just takes a break in period with my body getting used to it or if it super soft? I have also felt stiff and sore getting up but also don’t know if that is adjusting as my previous sleeping arrangements were a sinking in couch! Has anyone experienced this bed or maybe similar changes?? Not sure what I should do going forward.
Thanks in advance for any help!
So as the title says I'm conflicted between these two options, I'm a side sleeper that fluctuates between 180 and 190 lbs (83-88KG), as such tend to prefer a softer bed, has a very active job, and needs as much support as possible. As the sale ends in a day time any help is greatly appreciated!!!
I was initially dead set on the nectar Memory memory foam premier until I saw it was ideal for those with uuuuh...other needs in the bedroom. So the natural option was to go for the hybrid. And upon doing some research I found the common opinion is that the standard hybrid is actually softer than its premier version.
Does the standard nectar hybrid really come as close to feeling as memory foam like as its full foam counterparts as some reviews will have you believe? Or is there any alternatives around the same price point (UK) that suit my needs better.
Thanks for your help everyone :D
I am in the market for a queen hybrid mattress and when I look at Nectar online, The reviews are confusing. So I was wondering from those who own the Nectar Premier Hybrid, what are your honest thoughts and reviews?
Update; Ordered one. It will be here tomorrow.
We got our king mattress back in February and I have been sleeping better ever since. You kinda just sink in to the bed but it still supports you. Think of it as the spray foam insulation in your shipping boxes, just molds around your body.
The mattress was heavy so you definitely need two people to move it. And make sure you unroll it on your bed frame and not on the floor!
So I've been sleeping on my nectar luxe hybrid and it's honestly been pretty great other than the break in period which took a few weeks.
Only thing is, I sweat like crazy. the cooling stuff in the luxe hybrid helps a bit, but i'm still waking up all damp way too often. its not awful just not cutting it for me.
so yesterday I'm on Instagram, and I see this ad for the new nectar ultra mattress. the girl in the ad is going on about 4x more cooling fibers than the classic hybrid and some foam(or maybe phase?) change thing that keeps you cool. dude... I know it's an ad that's sponsored or whatever but I'm soooo tempted. id probably keep my nectar luxe hybrid for the spare room cause it's solid but I'm dying to try the nectar ultra for myself.
any of you know if the nectar ultra mattress really keeps you cooler or is it just slick ad talk?
I just purchased a nectar hybrid mattress in a queen. And this maybe a dumb question but for anyone who purchased this mattress. It is still vacuum sealed a rolled up. And I measured the width bc it looked small and it came out to 38inches. Now the twins are 38 inches and the queen should be 60. My question is for anyone thay purchased this mattress was it folded width wise when yall opened it? I'm trying to avoid opening it if it is the wrong mattress to avoid Hassel but I may not have a choice. Just seeing if anyone else had this same question or could answer it
