Currently looking to buy a new mattress as my current bed in a box has become too soft.
Have tested Tempur-Pedic Adapt Medium and Pro Adapt Medium in numerous stores and love the feel/support.
My only hang-up is the countless reviews I see online stating they will do anything to get out of a warranty and the product sagging or dipping a few years after ownership.
I just don't want to get stuck with a $3200 bed that fails in a few years. Does anyone here have any thoughts, good or bad? If you own one, which model and for how long?

Long term TP owner here. Basically the mattress takes some getting used to (give yourself at least two months, get used to the floaty feel and also the slightly higher body heat retention). Overall, I wouldn’t change it for another mattress. Having run sleep apps, its clear that I barely move all night whilst on a TP leading to much better quality sleep. By contrast, even on very high end sprung mattresses, I end up moving a lot more with greater disrupted sleep. Stories about TP mattresses sagging should be taken with a pinch of salt. Unless you are seriously heavy, I wouldn’t worry about it. I have two TP beds in my house. No sagging at all after 5 and 10 years of use respectively. The only downside I can think of is that the mattresses sleep slightly hotter. This is only noticeable in summer, and the solution is simply to cover yourself with less. In summary: I’d go for it.

I had the same concerns after reading way too many Tempur Pedic reviews; lots of love for the feel, but the sagging and warranty issues definitely gave me pause. I personally ended up going with the Plush Beds botanical bliss after seeing the comparison here https://www.reddit.com/r/Mattress/comments/1h1m2js/comment/mk6u2ux/ . For me personally, PlushBeds seemed like the best choice. It’s all latex, so you should still get that contouring support but with more bounce and durability. Plus, it’s got a great return policy. Still waiting on it to arrive though and I'm excited to try it out!!!

So GF and I are shopping for a new mattress. We NEED firm for both of our backs so we don't wake up painful or immobile in the morning.
We found two models from TheraPedic (a brand we've never heard of before) and we researched them and aren't really finding many negative reviews about them. Are there any reasons we should NOT buy their brand?
Additionally, we are heavily considering the Lily and Orchid models that are firm enough, and are double sided, are there real comparable reasons to one-sided mattresses that we should not buy a double-sided mattress?

Some questions: Have you tried these models out in person? Or is this from online researching? (fine either way, just wanna understand your search parameters) Do you happen to have information about the construction of these mattresses other than being single or double sided? In particular do you know the density of the foams used? What are your heights, weights and sleeping positions? What's your budget and for what size bed? Online mattress reviews are totally worthless. They're either about comfort which is entirely subjective OR they're from someone who has owned the mattress for just a few weeks and has no ability to comment on the long-term durability of the mattress.
