Hey everybody, I've gotten really into manga the last week and have tried finding the best app that supports offline reading, along with a broad selection. After hours of searching, almost 99% of the suggestions I find are about tachiyomi, however considering they have discontinued and I am unable to download any older files it is not viable. I've tried neko mangadex browser but it simply doesn't have what I'm looking for, thus I would greatly appreciate suggestions.

Ps; I tend to avoid websites since I have limited data outside home and much prefer downloading via apps. Thanks in advance!

I recommend using Mihon: https://mihon.app/ It's the exact same app as Tachyiomi, with the difference it does not provide the sources, you need to import them yourself, which is what made Tachiyomi die in the first place. They are progressing really fast in the developments and even recommend giving feedback on their GitHub as well as on the Discord server to help improve the application.

May 14, 2024 - I know basically nothing about coding and can't seem to find install instructions, do you know of a "how to" for Neko by any chance? Update: nvm I found the APK ... Any chances we'll get an app for IOS and Android?? I've been using Tachiyomi, but MangaDex is still the primary source I pull from, even within that app.

July 25, 2021 - I've been considering switching to Neko as my Tachiyomi fork of choice as the functionality is nice. Unfortunately there's many manga I'm missing where the merge feature does not do enough for me. It seems the only (or the most common) source to merge from is Manga Life, but many manga, including Kaguya-sama lack up to date translations, making this impractical.
