Umbrella Academy
Pls pls pls recommend me good ones, thanks a bunch!
Hey all,
Just wondering if there have been any new Netflix original shows that started in 2025 and are actually worth watching. I'm always trying to catch something fresh before it gets too popular or disappears from the homepage.
Looking for anything that’s well-written, mysterious, or addictive. I’m open to other genres too if the story and acting are solid. Just don’t want anything slow or boring.
If you’ve seen something this year that’s underrated or really good, I’d love your suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

The year is soon over. What shows did you like?
My personal choices, from the ones I've seen:
Nautilus, amc
The Institute, mgm+
Paradise, abc/hulu
Chief of War, appletv
Stick, appletv
Librarians: The Next Chapter, tnt
Destination X, nbc
I’ve gone through so many shows over the last few years that I’m starting to run out of things to watch.
Do you guys have any recommendations for upcoming Netflix series in 2026 or something recent that feels fresh?
I’m open to any genre, as long as it keeps me hooked.
Stranger Things, Squid Game, You, Cobra Kai all ends this year with their final season and also we get Wednesday Season 2 this year, but let’s be real—it’ll probably be at least 2028 before we see Season 3 (if there is one). So apart from Bridgerton whats left for next 2-3 years after 2025 for Netflix? Yes there are couple of good series which I did not mention in this post, but these ones have their biggest viewership.
Fyi, i want to add more fresh ideas about movies and series on Tuneontv.com // thanks

We get a new list highlighting the show as one of the best additions to the streaming service:
Best Reason to Watch: Um, it’s incredible? One of the best shows of 2024? Sam Reid’s stagebound return evokes the perfect blend of giddy/terrified glee? You just gotta watch it, guys. And I say that as someone who really struggled to get through the first half of Season 1.
On another article (all thanks to Instagram´s @ IWTV_updates of course) The Oscars embraced horror this year. Why won't the Emmys? is the main question of the day, also making special mention of how boh IWTV and Dark Winds have very interesting parallelisms and are equally ignored on awards seasons when it comes to nominations for more categories:
In Vampire and Winds, lead actors Jacob Anderson and Zahn McClarnon bring to life characters burdened by memories of childhood trauma, as well as, respectively, racism carried from 1910s New Orleans to post-WWII Paris and the death of a child. These two shows refuse to stray away from the horrific pasts of these leading men, instead forcing their audiences to reckon with the struggles of Louis and Joe. Unlike other shows that use shocking plot twists to elicit cheap gasps, like the tedious finale of The White Lotus season three, these stories are anchored by characters who have long met their ends and whose unresolved fates resonate in the present.
These series feature powerful explorations of how history shapes identity and relationships. The haunting memories that seep into every moment remind viewers that our pasts are not easily escaped but are woven into the very fabric of who we are. Ultimately, Anderson and McClarnon’s characters challenge us to reckon with the lasting effects of trauma as they unfold these raw, unflinching narratives. Louis and Joe are frustrating, as they seem reluctant to uncover the most painful parts of their lives. But as they’re forced to chip away at their carefully constructed facades, each one sheds light on truth, shame, and grief.
Looking for shows that are a must watch like Breaking Bad or the Chernobyl. Open to all kinds of suggestions from all genres..tell me your favorite shows. Thanks everyone in advance :))
I’m curious to know what movies or series you’re looking forward to watching in early 2025. i’m always on the lookout for something fresh and interesting. Is there anything you’re particularly hyped about or something you’d recommend keeping an eye on?
