Netflix Is Looking to Borrow Heavily Again to Fund Warner Bros. Deal
WBD has $33b in debt today and was paying it down at $5b/year. It’s probably slightly profitable without debt, and may be better this FY and next FY with the movie successes and DCU hopefully continuing its takeoff. Netflix has little debt, and generates $10b in net income annually. Financially, Netflix + WB looks much better than Paramount + WBD from a revenue/OI/debt POV. I’m not sure why these headlines as it seems to focus on NFLX’s borrowing, as if it were unique, and as if NFLX can’t afford it. More on reddit.com
