Yeah, they raised their fees. So logically they had to give up on some good movies. That is Netflixs business model atm. "Raise more money by getting shitty."

I want to say they're also on Peacock, but I know for a fact that HBO max currently has all of the Harry Potter movies as well as the Fantastic Beast moviea

If this merger/acquisition goes through (link below) , It would for sure have a huge impact on the streaming industry and especially on the 2nd Season of HP on Netflix. The first season will pretty much get made the way WB wants but by the time production on season 2 begins Netflix would step in.
Also, any hope of Narnia series on Netflix would also be lost. They'd badly advertise that series to bolster HP series instead.

This would be a death sentence for the show. Only four Netflix shows have ever gone past a 5th season (and the most recent one was a 2015 show lmao). They are notorious for cancelling shows the moment they begin to struggle. They are also a lot more aggressive about pushing the “message” compared to HBO, which would further alienate an already disinterested audience that’s rooting for this show to fail.
