Or, how can I disable the requirement for it?
The quest book says "Place this under the soil to allow Nether Star Seeds to grow".
Seems straight forward right? Put a block of insanium farmland, crux under, seed on top and off you go. Nope, it says "requires nether star crux below". I tried it on basic farmland, nope. Tried putting the seed directly on the crux, doesn't go. Tried putting a piece of growth accelerator between the farmland and the crux, nope.
#stumped
P.S. Yes, I do know there are 10,000 other ways to grow the seeds, and I am, but this is in the quest book and it should work or be removed.

Have you tried putting the seed directly on the crux ? That’s how my botany pots in ATM8 work atleast. No farmland just Crux + Seed

So you made it 99.79% of the way. Did you water the plot? I just tested your questions and got the same result without water. Hit it with a watering can *BAM* 1% growth. Might be late to the party but 07
