Android equivalent of NetNewsWire RSS reader?
Web version of NetNewsWire?
Best option for integrating NetNewsWire with Windows?
NetNewsWire: Free and Open Source RSS Reader for Mac and iOS
There's a really fantastic iPhone RSS reader called NetNewsWire, and it's the most polished thing I've ever come across for reading feeds. It doesn't require a login or account, it fetches the feeds from the app without a server, doesn't spam with notifications, and provides handy views like showing just todays unread stories.
I've tried so many free RSS readers for android and I still haven't found anything like the above.
They either require a login (!!!!!) and want to connect to some cloud aggregators instead of fetching locally. They spam the notifications which I have to turn off, or not make it easy to stop the constant background refreshing so I end up having to use the Force Stop a few times a day. And they're ugly and glitchy.
Is there any android RSS reader like netnewswire? I absolutely don't want to have to create an account.
Thanks
Iโm using NetNewsWire on macOS and iOS, using iCloud a the database to keep read/unread articles consistent between devices. It is AWESOME. But I canโt install the app on my work machine.
Is there a web version of NetNewsWire - or another RSS reader on the web - that can integrate with the NNW db on my iCloud?
New to RSS even though itโs been a thing forever.
Iโve settled on using NNW on my iPhone since it looks like the best free option. I like the simplicity, speed, bug free aspects and from my research it looks like people recommended it just as much as other popular ones like Reeder and Inoreader.
My only gripe is that itโs not available for windows. What would be the easiest way to sync my feeds on NNW with a browser extension or app on Windows? Even considering using Outlook RSS on Windows if thatโs an option.
On a side note does NNW have the ability to filter content like NewsBlur does (reducing the noise of busy feeds) or at least keyword search?
