Can’t go wrong with them! Even though you buy through Costco, you will work directly with Newage. I had a case of slightly damaged cabinet and newage through Costco refunded me the cost of the cabinet. I hung all of my small and large cabinets on the wall alone. I have one of their cabinets in my garage now. Love it. It's good looking. Well built. Very stong. Never a problem with it. I plan to eventally replace all of my garage shelving with New Age cabinets. It won't be cheap. But I think it will be worth it. More on reddit.com

We’ve gotten quotes from California Cabinets and Closets By Design for custom garage cabinets, and they were $8-$9K for a wall of standing cabinets along one side of our 2-car garage.
We’re thinking of just going with NewAge metal cabinets from Costco to save money, but I have a few questions:
How hard is installation? Did you do it yourself or hire someone? Mainly concerned about the hanging wall units.
I’ve heard it gets delivered on a pallet. Do you need to recycle/dispose of the pallet yourself?
Do you recommend the Costco set vs. ordering from NewAge directly? We don’t need the workbench and would prefer to have all tall cabinets, but ordering 4x tall cabinets would come out to $3.1K, instead of Costco’s deal at the moment with the price of $1.7K
Any other thoughts about pros and cons of NewAge vs custom cabinets? I do like that it’s a non permanent solution so if we change our minds it’s easy to redo the garage. We currently only have 1 car but may get a car several years down the road which might change our needs. Or we may accumulate more stuff and need more storage space and replace some of the units in this set with individual tall cabinets. Seems like the modularity is helpful for flexibility.

Install isn’t technically difficult if you have the basic skills. Have a buddy around, they’re harder to move by yourself, especially the big closets. Have a dolly and a ratchet strap too. Yes, on a pallet. You have to deal with it yourself. Don’t burn it, hazardous smoke will result. I bought from Costco. I’d go through them again because it was easy. I really like them. I’d buy them again. Get the upgraded ones though. It’s worth it.
