And the main problem right now, item bloat, its been hilarious, but problematic of course, sometimes you literally have 30 legendary items on your bag and you need to check each one of them to see if its worth it i tried to fool my friend, just printed my inventory and said "m8 im one of the richest players on NW, just come back and i will give you anything, look how much legendarys i have on bank", bet they will fix it soon, but in general, its been vrazy smoth and fun, even the pvp More on reddit.com

I purchased items from their store and those items were taken out of my inventory. I obtained certain achievements regarding housing (hitting level 300), I never got my last perk choice. Sent in a ticket, ZERO response. New world was made as a proof of concept so that Amazon Games could obtain the rights to the LOTR franchise to make a LOTR MMORPG.

November 8, 2024 - A lot of the gear is historical in style, suited to what one would expect from the time period the game is associating itself so that may qualify is something new, or at least novel. The classes mean little. Most important is the differing buffs to non-combat skills they provide. They all have particular weapons and armour but that can all be swapped out early in play so has no lingering significance. There are plenty of fantasy elements. The only thing that may be out of this world is the corruption theme that it has through much of the story depending how well the nuances of this repetition of that appeal to you.

If you have not tried New World: Aeternum or you have played it in the past I highly recommend giving it a go. This season, which is more like an expansion, is so unbelievably good that I feel like I need to shout it from the rooftops.
They've added so much, fixed so much, and finally listened to the players. Gearing has been greatly improved allowing players to build themed builds as opposed to one-item metas of the past. The set bonuses give a huge variety to gearing as do the perk charms. We have a LOT of customization freedom now.
The catacombs are a game changer. Procedurally generated extraction-style dungeon mode with risk/reward mechanics - they can continue to build upon this as time goes on and the best part of all is that it can be played solo or with up to three players.
If you guys haven't tried this game it's worth every penny.

My biggest gripe with the game is it's just so fucking miserable. There's no humour or bright colours as a reprieve from the consistently oppressive atmosphere. The NPCs are disgustingly ugly wax models and the gear sets look shit. The environments look amazing, but it's a pretty depressing world, and that's something that doesn't mix well with mmo for me. It's fine in shorter term games like dark souls, but mmos are a place that you visit consistently over years, and I find new world's world a depressing and tiring place to be. These criticisms are not specific to the new zone btw, it's the whole game
