Just a heads up to anyone trying to use the trade-in program for your GPU; You can't use their own store card for your purchase with a trade-in. When I went to check out, there was a link to apply for the Newegg Credit Card through Synchrony for 0% interest if paid win 12 months. I was approved, but the option to use the store card was met with a warning listing restrictions and one of the restrictions was the trade-in program. This is ridiculous. I would have never applied for the card. So, really bummed about that and think others should know.
All,
First of all, if Newegg Support is reading this, I come to this sub in a neutral stance. I am not by any means bashing Newegg or saying I'll never shop with you guys again, but when I read a bunch of testimonials last night about people's graphics cards being rejected, I thought I'd ask.
Granted, it seems like Support was saying this program was an ongoing process of improvement, and the threads I read were 2-4 month old.
Has anyone had any recent experiences with the GPU program? I'd be trading in a RTX 3070ti, which should fetch a decent price. The threads I did read had people trying to trade in dusty ass 2080s and stuff, but there were still more than one thread where they were basically getting rejections with no explanation or they were getting nitpicked on simple shit.
This is a precarious situation as you are already spending the money for the new GPU and then you're hoping that the old one gets accepted. Also I heard one person got their refund back on a prepaid card instead of their original payment method which defeats the purpose.
