May 1, 2026 - To maintain the quality, stability, and ongoing evolution of Nexus Repository, however, we will be introducing usage limits for Community Edition. These limits target only the largest-scale operations — teams handling more than 200,000 requests or 100,000 components. We chose these limits as they affect only the largest 5% of instances. Above those thresholds, we will ask users to upgrade to our Pro tier, which includes advanced enterprise features like high availability, replication, single sign-on, cleanup policies, and (most importantly) immediate access to our trained support and engineering teams.

Free users are a burden that they only see as a possible avenue to upsell. If you have a cloud platform, use their package solution. Hey folks, I'm trying to evaluate the "new" Sonatype Nexus Community Edition.
However, the download page at https://www.sonatype.com/products/nexus-community-edition-download requires me to insert all sort of personal details (including the company name, what if I don't have one lol).

Understandably, I could insert random data, but I'm not sure if the download link is then sent to the email address.

That you know of, is there a known direct download link? Sonatype's website must be purposedly indexed like crap because I can't find anything useful there.

So in the past I used nexus personally. I just entered in my info and used dummy company info. I don’t know if their input fields have changed since then, it’s been about 4-5 years. We use CE a little at work but we’re lagging a little behind on updates. We’re likely to purchase a license soon. Can’t speak to anything else, if self hosted CE actually includes limitations beyond with methods, internal user count, etc.
