Unfortunately not... unlike football over here, the jerseys rarely change. If a player leaves for another team, his jersey will start to come down (like look at Wilson Seahawks, or Rodgers Green Bay). Good and bad as if you get a jersey, and that player doesn't get traded, at least the jersey's current for a few seasons rather than just the one. Just pay attention to the contract length of the player if you're going for one.

If you're following a specific team, may be worth investing in a retired legendary player. Plenty of fans will do that, and then it's never gonna be outdated (Lewis Ravens for example).
