My guess is you will see a discount on next year's purchase.... I used to pay for this service until the pandemic shortened year. 60 games and the price of it was more then the full season before. I write a letter asking why it cost more for the shortened season then a full season. Explained I would be canceling if this was their new way of doing business. Never got a response. Canceled my service immediately and have been sailing the seas ever since. I refuse to pay money for shit service, so I won't. When the NHL provides a solid working streaming site with good customer service, I would consider paying again. But I doubt the NHL has the desire or even the skillset to accomplish this. I haven't heard ANY WORD BACK from The NHL, about getting discounts / refunds $$$$ back yet, for a service we paid for, and couldn't get ANYTHING FROM for the 1st two weeks of the season. As well, we can't log into a LIVE game AT THE BEGINNING; instead, we get logged into THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME (thanks for the score, NHL!); with previous seasons' streaming service there was NO PROBLEM. Also, I have logged into at least 3 ARCHIVED games, games already completed, and had the stream starting somewhere in the middle of the 1st period!!! (The latest, the VAN @ MON game of Nov. 09). WT...?!?!?

And on top of all than, again... A BILLION DOLLAR SPORTS EMPIRE, and THE BEST we can get is ARCHAIC, STONE-AGE 720P streaming?!?!? SERIOUSLY? Not even HD, let alone FHD/UHD streaming... What year is it at The NHL offices? Thoroughly disgusted with the service and product, and STILL waiting for our discount refunds for even the CRAPPY product we couldn't even get for the 1st two weeks of the season. Why did they change from the previous system AT ALL? (It had some problems too, but NOT LIKE THIS CRAPPY STREAMING SERVICE!)

Anyone every have luck with a promo code for Hockey TV?

I can't help with a promo code, but can share my experience with it. I've gotten it for a couple tournaments my son has been in. As a goalie though it's tough to justify the cost when the few times he's been in action the camera's been too slow to pan to him (for example during a breakaway) and it doesn't capture the active play. That said there have been some pretty awesome moments that I've been able to replay because I've had the footage (although it costs extra to download the video), and family members who live really far away have been able to watch the games.

I've used HockeyTV plenty! Depending on the league the camera quality can be very hit and miss but the higher tier the league, the better the quality usually. I personally use it for mostly Junior A in Western Canada and I've been pretty satisfied with the product but you have to understand going in that you're not going to get a super high def picture and TV level production quality. They usually have a promo code for a discount on the yearly pass prior to the start of the season which I would expect to come out some time in the next couple weeks. That being said, keep an eye on how long your sons season is because I find that just doing month-by-month is more cost effective given I know I'm not going to be using it for several months of the year.
