Their extensive pastry program is headed up by Mary Eder-McClure, Galit’s pastry chef. I went with local friends for brunch a week ago and enjoyed my quiche plus and very tasty tres leches croissant. In addition to Cafe Yaya, I read that Au Levain Bakery & Café and Del Sur Bakery were two of the best new restaurants and bakeries in Chicago.
