I have been photographing wildlife for the past few years as a hobby, mainly waterfowl and other birds. I currently own the Nikon P900 which has served well, but I think I am ready to upgrade into something better. I’ve been researching now for months and am struggling between the Nikon D850 and the Canon R6/R7. I haven’t invested in either brands lens or anything else, so I’m starting new. Leaning towards the R7 because it has the crop factor to help reach out, and from what I’ve read the AF is much better for BIF then the D500 or D850. However I like the idea of the full frame for those times when I want to take a landscape photo when I’m out shooting. Is there a Bette way to go? Are Lens options better on one side vs the other? My all in budget for the camera and first lens is $5000-$6000 USD. Any recommendations or advice would be welcome!

Hey. I need some help deciding on an upgrade. I've gotten an opportunity to upgrade my setup. As of now, I own a Rebel T7i and an EF-S 18-135 and have been shooting for approximately 2 years, taking event gigs for photography.
My main uses are for events (wedding, party, corporate), portraiture, and nature, as well as architecture when travelling. I am looking to get more into sport photography as well.
Currently, aside from the lens lacking the sharpness I desire, I seem to not have good AF performance, lowlight performance for photography is questionable, MP counts, with my current lens, for nature can be difficult due to cropping. The video is, especially in low light, unusable for sales.
I own a 600EX RT II as well, but from my understanding if I change systems I could still use it off camera with radio, correct?
My research has led me to a variety of places within my budget of U$ 1700,00. I'm fine with purchasing used gear. I'm looking for both a FF camera and a zoom lens such as either 24-70 2.8 or 70-200 2.8 or a prime 85 1.4/1.2. I'm open to other suggestions!
My current options lined up are:
Z7 Z6 II 1DX Mark II R6 D850
Can someone offer some wisdom on how to proceed please. I thank you in advance for reading through all of this!
