What Are Immediate Hire Jobs That Require No Experience?
Immediate no experience jobs include roles in restaurants, retail stores, and caregiving facilities. In a caregiving role, you may provide companionship, help dress seniors or children, prepare meals, and help kids participate in different activities. In a retail store or restaurant, you assist a story with managing its inventory, reduce waiting periods for customers in the store, or prepare food in accordance with all health and safety guidelines. In this context, no experience means no professional experience. Other jobs that hire immediately include general labor and administrative positions, but they may require basic tool skills or some familiarity with office environments. Many details of these jobs are specific to individual companies, so be sure to review each job posting carefully before applying. In this context, immediate hire refers to positions that are available to almost anyone, regardless of training or experience. Jobs that want to hire skilled applicants as soon as possible usually advertise under other terms.
Hi, I live in Brooklyn, as you can see above.
It's so hard to get a job as an 18 year old in Brooklyn. I've applied to jobs over in other boroughs (Manhattan, and Queens, mostly) , and I'm even considering sending an application into NJ. Everyone wants to hire people with at least 1-5 years experience, even in entry level fast food jobs.
Have any of you fine people gone through this (even when you were beyond my young age), and what did you do about it?
Edit: I have gotten a job offers before, when I lived out of the city for a few months with family, so I know it's possible. It all seems to be so dried up here, though.
Update: Thank you for all the suggestions everyone! I really didn't expect this to blow up, but I have definitely been looking into everything. Unfortunately, I 'm apparently not eligible for sanitation because I can not drive, at all. However, I am definitely brushing up my resume, printing some copies, and applying to some lesser known jobs (less McDonald's and Burger King, more Mom&Pop neighborhood joints). I hope this is helpful for anyone in the same situation who could also use these suggestions.
