r/NovaScotia on Reddit: Anyone know of legit work from home jobs in Canada?
August 10, 2023 -

Does anyone know of legit work from home jobs that don’t have a sign up fee for in Canada or Nova Scotia?. Not looking to sell makeup Avon stuff like that. Like actual work from home for a company? Working a minimum wage job with no benefits is only paying for the cost of gas to get to work and child care. Nothing more nothing less, and times are stressful right now, so looking for something with benefits and a flexible schedule. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for legit work-from-home job opportunities — preferably things that pay decently and don’t involve MLMs, pyramid schemes, or starting my own “business.” I just want something real, ideally where I can get paid for actual work.

If you’ve personally worked for or found jobs through any trustworthy websites, platforms, or companies, please share! 🙏

Would love recommendations, especially if they’re global or work in Canada too.

Thanks in advance!

What are some / any legitimate work from home companies? Especially for someone with no experience, but wants to do remote work. Have reliable high speed internet, new piwerful pc, land line, and office space.

Searched for this, but don't know which are scams.

Thanks for any help.

EDIT: Job searching and see ad listings with "remote" and " no experience required" . Don't know if these are legitimate.

r/RemoteJobs on Reddit: Best Legitimate Part-Time Remote Jobs With No Experience (Work From Home Only)?
April 28, 2025 -

Hey everyone,

I'm currently looking for legitimate part-time remote jobs that don't require any prior experience. I want to work only from home, not interested in anything that requires on-site visits or travel.

I'm open to anything flexible: customer support, data entry, content moderation, virtual assistant work, or even simple writing tasks. Just looking for something real and not scammy.

If you've had a good experience with any beginner-friendly remote job (or know someone who has), I would appreciate any suggestions or advice!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Edit: Thought I’d edit the post in case it helps someone. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s working for me:

EliteSurveySites: I’ve experimented with a lot of side income ideas, and a few things finally started to click. One big breakthrough was using this site, they helped me find legit, better-paying survey platforms. In the beginning, I was barely earning anything, a few cents per survey, if that. But after sticking with it for a few weeks and being consistent, I now average over $1500/month from the recommended panels.

Fiverr: On the side, I’ve also been picking up small writing tasks, mostly short-form content like social media captions for LinkedIn and Instagram. That brings in an extra $200–$300 each month.

Beta Testing: Another thing that worked for me: giving honest feedback to startups. If you search Reddit or niche forums for phrases like “need testers”, you’ll find plenty of early-stage products looking for feedback. They usually pay around $10–$15 per session, and it’s pretty straightforward work.

Just sharing what’s worked for me so far, I’ll be sure to update the list if I find something else that works too.

I'm in desperate need of a job. All I want is something, anything, that I can live off of and pay my bills. I have a place right now to live in, but it is not the best and I need out asap.

I have a job, but the hours are unreliable and the pay is minimal. It's an amazing workplace but I just can't survive off of it. I'm searching for something part time I can work with my other job. Or a full time job to swap into.

I've been searching but most of the jobs I find are either not legit/online scams, or have requirements that are unlikely to be achieved.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have no clue where to turn to next. I've scoured online job forums (ie indeed, etc) even attempted WorkBC(that was an utter bust).

I'm ideally looking for something online, that I can work from home. Though I am willing to commute or even move within BC/AB (though financially I'd prefer that to be a last resort, or something I do after I've had time to earn an income to pay for it).

My life's dream is working from home in a cozy 1 bedroom apartment, writing novels on the side (full-time author is what I'd like to work towards), and high enough pay that I can spend money here and there for stuff I want without having to worry about not being able to pay rent.

What I'm looking for is some advice on which avenues to pursue or research that will eventually be able to lead to wfh. I know IT will likely be a big one, but I've heard the market is oversaturated and hard to get into without a compsci degree.

I appreciate any advice or help, thanks!

Edit: I'm a senior in HS right now, trying to decide on my future career.

Edit 2: I'm aware wfh isn't cozy sleep-ins and no work. Writing would be after I finish my shift.

August 23, 2024 -

I'm in a bit of an abusive situation and need to save money to be able to leave. I'm struggling to find something online that is consistent hours to make enough money to do this. I need the job to be quiet (can't require voice/phone calls) and preferably something I can do at any time of the day. I tried some rating/survey jobs but they didn't really turn out reliable enough. I have a basic (3 year) admin degree and work history in retail and customer service (I can't afford any additional training or certification right now) and I'm running out of time to earn an income. What else can I do that's reliable enough to earn a decent career-level income that accepts Canadians? I’ve looked through many of the suggestions in past posts but they seem to only accept US applicants.

Hey guys,

I’ve been trying to find some legit work-from-home opportunities that are part-time and don’t require experience, but it’s been hard to tell what’s real and what’s just fluff.

I’m open to anything, data entry, customer service, writing, etc, as long as it’s remote, flexible, and pays at least a little something.

If you’ve personally had success with any platforms, jobs, or side gigs that fit this, I’d love to hear about them. I’m not expecting to get rich, just looking for something reliable to get started.

Thanks in advance, really appreciate any help or guidance…

Edit: Just wanted to share my experience — I tried a lot of things, and here’s what actually worked for me.

I used EliteSurveySites to find high paying survey panels, read their tips, and signed up for a few panels they recommended. At first, I barely made anything, just a few cents here and there. But after a couple of months, things picked up. Now I’m making over $1500 a month with a mix of BrandedSurveys, SurveyJunkie, and others.

I also started doing simple writing gigs like captions for Instagram and LinkedIn, and i make around $200-$300 per month from this.

I started posting affiliate content in pet forums, which brings in around $100–$150 from last month, but it seems the number of clicks are growing day by day. So, I’m expecting more from this.

Hope this helps. I'll update this post if I come across anything else worth sharing.

My oldest is going to school in September and my wife would like to move on from her current job working at a daycare (which has been great for the kids) to something that would give her flexibility for pick up and drop off when my son is at school - we also have a 2 year old daughter who would stay in daycare while she works.

I figure WFH jobs are the best bet but it’s hard to filter through all the scammy jobs like “make $1000 a week from your living room!” Type postings that are all over indeed.

Don’t know where to start really so any guidance is helpful.

My wife has business ownership experience, management experience, she was a successful office manager before kids came along and she also has a degree from King’s (western) in Childhood and social institutions (she was once going to be a teacher but no longer wants that).
