We're running a server that has a port forward from our router, it keeps kicking us off about every five minutes with the aforementioned message. Though I'm the only one that has the hilarious result of duplicated characters. Had the server issue before update, but now this!

Seriously though, can anyone tell me how to fix this server error?

edit It seems we found a temporary solution. Both of us were able to play successfully for at least an hour. We did four different things, not sure which did the trick so I would suggest trying them one at a time to see which will do it.

1. Modified server config file, turned "upnpportforwarding" : false

2. Added a server password requirement in the server config file - this was not required before, but we figured it would be worth a shot.

3. On the router, opened up the "off" ports of 21026 and 21027

4. On the internal network, we now use the internal IP instead of external IP. Haven't had anyone outside of our house try to connect, so not sure if that would be an issue with anyone else, but it works for us within the house.

Hopefully this will help anyone who is having the same issues.

Thankfully once i explain that they were just for the holiday time they usually just say ok and show me the rest of their collection from 2004
