Honestly, neither cooler has very good value in general, and as you mentioned, the be quiet! may have clearance issues, I would recommend the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE (there's a ARGB version if you want some flash).

While I like more the Dark Rock Pro 4 manufacturers for giving the tiniest details on the product's page (how is polished, metal used, dimensions with pictures, and so on), I don't like coolers with fans positioned in the middle of the radiator, like that Dark Rock Pro 4 . I had to clean at least twice something made in that style, I must say that it's a pain in the neck. The dust will accumulate on both sides of the fan, and if the user forgets to clean it, it might get stalled and die. That being said, I would choose the Noctua NH-U12A. I don't like the colors, but that's not important here. Noctua NH-U12A has 760g while the Dark Rock Pro 4 has 1,13 Kg, and both fans are mounted on the sides.

Will you be overclocking? If not the stock cooler should suffice.

Dark Rock 4, it'll give you about the same cooling as the U12S and isn't ugly out of the box, and is also slightly cheaper too. At least, that's just what I'd do in your situation anyways

I am having stock AMD cooler that comes with Ryzen 7 3800X and planning to upgrade CPU cooler. Which one would be better NHU12A or DRP4. Motherboard I have is ASUS X570E and Case is NZXT H510. I hope both CPU cooler are compatible with this case.

You won't get the kind of temperature improvement going from a DRP4 to a U12A that would justify the cost increase. Check the cooler height limit of the H510, but I'm 99% certain a DRP4 will fit in it.

No ideea about dark rock but i have the noctua. Full load (gaming), keeps my 3600 at an average of 65°. Silent, easy to install (really easy). I have a R6 case from Fractal, 4 x 140mm intakes, 1x140mm exaust. Also, a 2070s.

I'm pretty torn up between these two coolers. I was able to find the NH-U12S for just $10 (Australian) more than the Dark Rock 4, and easily prefer it over the Dark rock in terms of aesthetics. I love how compact it is and the black on it looks really nice. I've also heard great things about Noctua as a brand. But I'm not sure about the cooling performance. I plan on using my PC primarily for 1440p gaming (have recently also begun playing around a bit with blender).
