You should learn how a computer works and how to develop software. For example, Google announced yesterday that Kotlin is their new preferred languge for Android app development. I’ve never had an Android phone. I’ve never written an Android app. I’ve never seen or written a line of Kotlin in my life. But yet if someone wanted to hire me to write an Android app in Kotlin I have complete confidence that after I spend some time reading documentation and trying things out that I could absolutely get the job done. I will be slower because I need some lead-in time that someone with Android/Kotlin experience would not have, but I can still do it. This might sound crazy, but think about it. What web browser do you use, probably Chrome? Do you need to learn Firefox? Do you need to learn IE or Edge or Safari? No. You understand how to use a web browser, therefore you can use any web browser.
