Why can I still hear some sounds through noise canceling headphones?
Noise canceling is great for blocking out consistent sounds, so the microphones have time to detect the sound and cancel it out. Loud, sudden noises are too quick to be properly canceled out, so youโll still hear these unless you have really good passive isolation.
How do I connect Bluetooth headphones to my work computer?
Make sure you put your headphones into pairing mode, which is different for each pair of headphones. Open up settings on your computer, and find the Bluetooth settings menu. There should be a list of devices, and the headphones should show up as a device to connect to. Click on the name of the headphones in the menu, and you should connect almost instantly.
Is it appropriate to wear headphones at work?
In most modern office environments, wearing headphones while working is generally accepted and often encouraged. They can help you focus by blocking out distractions and signaling to coworkers that youโre in a focused work mode. However, itโs always best to check your specific workplace policies. Some offices may have guidelines about when headphones are appropriate, especially in customer-facing roles or during meetings. Itโs also important to be mindful of your coworkers and maintain awareness of your surroundings. Many of the headphones weโve recommended, like the Sony WH-1000XM5 and Bose QuietComfort Ultra, offer transparency modes that allow you to hear your environment when needed, making them well-suited for office use.
so i want to get a good pair of noise-canceling headphones, only thing is that I really don't like Bluetooth headphones, my phone constantly turns on bluetooth without me wanting just because i have a smartwatch.
i also don't like the amount of radiation which comes out of bluetooth headphones, especially ones like airpods.
also the sound quality and mic quality tend to be worse on Bluetooth headphones.
so now the question is this:
I have a budget of around $300, and I want wired noise cancelling headphones, can go for iem's aswell.
i don't want to have to charge them and I can also use ones that need amps since I have a portable amp I can take.
open to any suggestions, believe it or not, finding wired NC headphones isn't that easy, as all websites essentially say "buy wireless lmao"
looking for good high quality nc, kinda like the bose 700 or sony xm4's.
i have good iems but they don't block out much noise. i want these mainly for public transport.
thanks
also idk what flair to put here bc I like all types of headphones
