i remember seeing one of his nomi videos, i don't remember him using any resource packs. maybe you mean the better GT textures in Nomi GTCEu?

So i have searched both r/feedthebeast and the internet, but I can not find any higher res texture packs for Omnifactory. Does anyone know where they may be hiding, or do they even exist?

I think you're a little confused about what a resource pack is. First off omnifactory just came out. And it only has 20k downloads. Even if someone was going to make a specific resource pack for omnifactory. It would be months to years later. Think about making custom textures for 100, 000+ items. Resource packs is a fancy word for texture packs. They take hundreds to thousands of hours to make. Almost all of them are only for vanilla minecraft because it would be near impossible to make textures for all the minecraft mods out there. There are a few resource packs that have downloadable add-ons to just a few big mod packs and that's it. All you're looking for is default minecraft resource packs for minecraft 1.12.2. sphax, docucraft and faithful 32, are the only good ones I know of that have good mod support.

Faithful has recently added gregtech, but you have to get it from github. Not sure if curseforge has it yet. Faithful has most of the other mods as well. You'll have to download modded faithful and vanilla faithful from different sites
