You are fine. The normal max of a CPU is 90 degrees. I always try to get an idle temp of 30-40 with an air cooler. But 50-60 is normal for a liquid cooler because it only really cools hard when the fans start kicking ass. Answer from LavaLaugh on reddit.com

r/buildapc on Reddit: What is a good idle CPU temp?
March 11, 2024 -
I recently upgraded from an air cooler (Noctua idk the model) to a liquid cooler (Corsair iCUE H150i Elite LCD XT) and when comparing the two, I found that my air cooler had much lower idle temps, somewhere around 40-45, but when playing games it could go up to 80 sometimes.
Now with the liquid cooler, the idle temps are pretty high, 50-60 but when playing games it stays about the same only rarely going over 60.
Are my liquid cooler idle temps something to be worried about? I don't play games much so my CPU doesn't have much load most of the time.

Idle temps are pretty much meaningless. If your temps under load are good, then you're fine.

Idle temperature and undervolt?
I just finished building my first PC! I got an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 (non-X), with the stock cooler, to which I've changed the thermal paste (from Noctua). I get about 57-60°C at idle, up to about 10% of use, with random spikes that range from 70 to 80 (while doing something intense, i presume?), ... More on linustechtips.com
is 43-45°C on idle normal?
Yes, completely normal. And any degrees under 95 degrees is 100% safe. If you want a lower idle temp, which I don't know why you would, simply bump up your idle fan speed. More on reddit.com

My CPU idles at 60 degrees. Is that okay? - Quora
Answer (1 of 6): That’s pretty hot for idling. It suggests that there’s a problem with your cooling setup that could be a problem when your CPU is under load. On the other hand, out of context, 60 degrees Celsius is a perfectly reasonable and safe temperature for a CPU on its own.

July 18, 2025 - Normal is anywhere from 30-50c when the system is idle. Remember that Windows runs maintenance tasks in the background, so idle can be a relative term. When under significant load, temperatures in the 80s with fairly short duration (~minute) spikes up into the 90s is ok.
