Is it common to dismiss what someone says by saying "not relevant, is it"?
It's a perfectly reasonable thing to say when someone brings up a point which isn't relevant. I think you'd hear it and variation relatively frequently. e.g. "Well, it's not really relevant to the matter at hand" More on reddit.com

Isn't it odd that "irrelevant" and "not relevant" are not always synonymous?
