I'm new to reddit and I've noticed some profiles show null when you view them Anybody know what that means exactly? It is an automatic thing or?

Hi I apologize if this is the wrong place I have no idea where to put it because it keeps getting deleted on help because that sub thinks I’m trying to appeal a ban?

Anyway, I tried messaging with the link they had to contact the mods but it says (null) and despite my googling I. Couldn’t figure out what it meant

My original question was basically my sis got shadowbanned but she wasn’t a big Reddit user in the first place but even so with her account permanently suspended (no idea why we don’t stalk each others posts ) the message saying so also included a link to make a new account. Again, she didn’t use Reddit that much so she never bothered but I was a bit confused.

Wouldn’t creating a new account mean ban evasion? What does null mean? I’m neurotic as a anxious chihuahua in a thunderstorm so every time I post something and some tin goes wrong I freak think I got shadowbanned

Is anyone able to clear this up for me?

After changing my password on another device and logging back in on my primary, my profile is broken in this very strange way, and I can't seem to do anything.

Some other parts of the issue not directly pictured:

• My home page is seemingly that of a new account, but my 'joined communities' sidebar still says I'm in all of my usual communities.

• None of my posts or comments seem to exist on my direct profile page.

• Trying to post resulted in an error message of "http request failed with status code 429"

• My account did show up when searched, along with all of my previous posts.

• All of my recent notifications are gone, except for DMs.

I tried looking into any similar incidents to shed light on this - With little success. The only issues with similar symptoms I could find were from issues a year ago with comments from people who've blocked you.

My Profile is Showing Null on The Reddit Mobile App after i logged out and had to change my password to and logged back in. it shows my account as null and my feed is like a new reddit account or like I'm logged out of reddit

so i've heard that when something is named "null" when it's related to something digital (no idea how to word it hhhh) weird stuff can happen, such as that guy who made his license plate "null" and ended up racking up a ton of parking tickets that weren't his, or when someone with the last name "null" enters their name into something the computer will think they don't exist.

so i've been kind of curious, what would happen if you made your username (on any social media site) "null"?

Hi I downloaded reddit auger my handy got trashed on my new phone and after connecting my account everything was gone I wasn't following anyone and I couldn't see any on my post but it the account hast still rlny joining time

i downloaded Null's royale just yesterday and i took a lot of cards to Elité level, but if i Change phone or if Null's create a new version, i have to start again from the beginning, taking the same cards to level Elité and loosing all progress. so i thought to create a Null's account by clicking " Null's connect" but it says only to login, amd even putting an email the 6 digits doesn't come to email application. so how do i create a Null's account? (sorry for the many words and possible grammatical errors).

I have been using the Reddit name grumpygrandpa201 for several years and all of a sudden it’s gone. I tried to do a password reset and I got the error message that no such account exist. What happened to my account? I did a search and don’t see my account. Larry

Hey guys and gals I just found out recently that infinity (open source, fdroid link) allows you to subscribe to subreddit without a reddit account just like newpipe and freetube for YouTube contents. I'm not 100% sure if reddit can still identity users even without an account, but I find this features very useful for just browsing reddit for entertainment and general information.

I tried to find Reddit rss client - without any success. I could use just a usual rss app, but in this case I won't see the answers under the post. Now I'm looking for an app which allows me to browse subreddits, subscribe them. Without log in.
