Curious if anyone has any comparison between these two? I have a nuna pipa RX infant seat and am in the early stages of deciding on what convertible carseat to buy. I have really liked Nuna thus far. I enjoy the look of the exec and the fact that it truly seems to be an all in 1. It seems the only difference is the sunshade, price and 360 turning ability. I know the calisto is relatively new so there arent a lot of reviews out there regarding true longevity. I know people said the Sirona is a bit difficult to turn after some use which is why i had eliminated it and had my heart set on the exec. Wondering if the calisto will have the same issue eventually.

ETA: i went with the Cybex Callisto G 360. Partially due to the detailed review below from @rigatoniandpugs Here are a list of reasons why i went Cybex (in no particular order):

1. I purchased from Albee Baby which has a rewards program. It’s where i purchased my Nuna Pipa RX and additional base. Albee also offers discounts to nurses/medical professionals (including CNAs and MAs im pretty sure!!!), military, first responders and teachers (verified via a 3rd party website). Because of this i was able to get $110 off. I believe you can also get this discount if you buy directly from Cybex. I only say this because Nuna does not allow these discounts, which i found out last year when purchasing my infant carseat (i even emailed with their customer service when the nurse discount wasnt applying to my cart).

2. I live in Austin, TX. It’s hot as balls here like 85% of the year. My car does not have rear vents in the ceiling so i worry about her getting too hot so the athletic type material was actually a big draw for me as well as the sunshade, which extends damn near all the way around the seat.

3. The rotation feature. I keep seeing post after post after post about how hard it is getting babies in and out of non rotating seats. My daughter is almost 8mo and has hit the point where she can sit in carts and is easier to carry. I no longer need to take the entire carseat out in most situations and was putting her in and out while leaving the infant carseat in my car. I noticed i was frequently bumping her head and having to put her in strange positions in my hands to get her in and was beginning to worry i was going to accidentally drop her.

Now on to my review. I’ve only had this seat for 2 days so some of this may change, again in no particular order:

1. It’s difficult to install im not going to lie to you. It has an attachment for the lower latch anchors BUT those are only allowed up to 30lbs so you might as well use the seatbelt in the first place. My jeep has an annoying ass extra piece of fabric on the lap portion of the seatbelt which made closing the locking mechanism really freaking hard. I also removed the infant insert and head rest because most only go to 11lbs. After our first trip, my daughter fell asleep and her head was falling forward. We have a long road trip tomorrow (3/7) and i was concerned about positional asphyxiation even with the seat in the furthest back recline position so i went back to the carseat manual and found you can leave those pieces up to 20lbs and just remove the foam wedge at 11lbs (much like some of the nuna infant carseat models). Im hoping adding those both back in will eliminate her head falling forward. (Turns out this was user error lol please see edit on 7/9 below).

2. It takes up quite a bit of room. I had to move my passenger seat even further forward than with her infant carseat. I drive a ‘23 Jeep Grand Cherokee for reference.

3. The rotation feature is great thus far. Very smooth. My daughter is shooketh when i do it lol

4. Rear facing weight limit is 40lbs. From another comment on this post, it seems that’s going to be the new standard so not much to say about that.

5. 10 year expiration from the date of manufacturing. I like this because i can use it for future babies if my daughter maxes out limits for 5 point harness and only needs a booster.

I’ll update again in a few months about how we’re liking it! Excited to really test it out with this 13 hour road trip tomorrow and Saturday.

Edit 2 7/9/25: I have seen a lot of comments on tiktok about my post and how this helped people with their final decisions. I have had the Callisto for about 6 months now so i wanted to come back and share my experience!

1. The install is not as hard as i had originally said. I didnt have the seatbelt on the path correctly which is what made it so hard. I went out of town and moved the seat over to my mom’s rav4 and it was so easy. When i moved it back to my car and got the path correct, it was a million times easier.

2. My daughter is now over 20lbs so i have her at the 20-40lb recline position. After our first ride in the callisto, my daughter fell asleep and her head flopped forward. I went back and read the manual and added the inserts back in since they ate good up to 20lbs. I never had an issue with her head flopping forward again after that. She doesnt really fall asleep in the car much anymore but her head doesnt flop forward now either.

3. While i enjoy the sunshade, my daughter grabs on to it whenever i pull it 3/4 of the way down and then pulls on it and puts her feet on the inside 😑 she hasnt broken it yet which speaks to the durability of the seat so that’s a plus lol

4. The smart clip low key makes me want to pull my hair out. I live in central Texas as mentioned above and i get notifications 24/7 when the clip is engaged that the ambient temperature of the car is “critical.” I KNOW the ac is on full blast give it a minute damn. I also dont suggest adding people to your “family” in the app. I will sometimes put my daughter in the car first while my phone is still inside or step out of the car to get the mail or pump gas and I get alerted that my child was left in the vehicle. That also then sends notifications to everyone in your “family” that you left the child in the car so if I had added people, i’d be giving them all heart attacks on the daily 😵‍💫

Honorable mention: I see a lot of people are unhappy with Nuna’s customer service. I have never had to deal with them personally, but there’s a lot of discourse around people being upset with how the major recall was handled. I have not contacted Cybex’s customer service either but i dont see any mentions of them having poor customer interactions. Just thought that was worth mentioning for anyone considering Nuna!

Overall, I am really happy with my choice. My daughter is almost 1 so she doesnt really eat in the car, just occasionally has a cup of milk so i have not had to take it apart to clean it yet so I cant speak to if that process is easy or difficult! In my original post, I mentioned hearing people had difficulties with the turning ability of the sirona and was concerned the callisto would have the same problem as they’re both manufactured by cybex but I have not had any issues thus far. It’s still as smooth as the day i got it out of the box!

Which car seat have you tried/had better experiences with? Which one is easier to clean? I read a review that Exec has a lot of little things to take apart which may make it difficult to clean - but does the Rava have the same issue?

For reference, we have a Tesla Model Y and I’m worried about the Exec not fitting well. Any experiences?

I have a Nuna Rava for my almost 4 yo. My 10 mo has outgrown the infant car seat, so I need a new convertible or all in one. I was originally going to get another Rava, but I didn't realize the height limit was only 49 inches. My kids hit height limits before weight.

Any recommendations for something with a better height limit that's made with cleaner materials? Thinking I probably need an all in one since my 4 yo isn't quite ready for a booster....

Expecting our baby next month. We have an infant car seat for now and are deciding what to do for our second car, whether to get an additional base for the car seat we have or get a convertible seat from the beginning. We have time to decide until my wife gets back to work in couple of months so are in no rush and haven’t really started researching but we know that we want a rotating one.

Nuna Pipa RX was released in 2020 and got refreshed (Aire) in 2024. Nuna Exec was also released in 2020 (but it doesn’t rotate) and the Revv in 2021 (has mush lower weight capacity) so it seems like they both might be up for a refresh? Does anyone know or have heard any rumors about Exec/Revv refreshes and their possible features?

For anyone thinking about dropping the dough for something marketed as the all in one 10 year solution, hopefully this review can give you some insight as to whether the features are truly worth the premium price.

Installation

The first time I installed the Exec into our SUV it took me about 10 minutes just due to the nature of double checking everything. I can safely say that I can securely install the seat now within a minute.

Cleaning and breakdown

It's tedious to say the least, velcro, buttons, snapping points, flimsy plastic you have to be careful with. The first time your kid pukes in your car seat, is also the first time you'll realize that underneath the fancy branding and the 'premium' look of the car seat....it's all plastic and foam just like any other carseat.

This was harder to break down than a 150 USD graco, and seems to be designed for people who want a fancy car seat to go along with their luxury car and NOT parents that actually haul their kids around.

Underneath the washable padding you'll find an almost full plastic frame with an insane amount of nooks and crannies that a normal portable vacuum will have a hard time getting into.

The harness cannot be removed unless you're willing to take apart the entire seat because whoever designed this apparently couldn't imagine a child vomiting or having an accident. This means wiping it over and over and hoping you get everything off the nylon.

If any sort of bodily fluids leak through into the plastic cavities below, you're never going to be able to clean it out.

Comfort

My daughter loves this seat. She's never fidgeted and often sleeps during long road trips.

Materials

They don't hide the materials used, not much to say about it other than the leg rest already fraying from the friction caused by swinging legs. Unfortunately isn't a replaceable part as you'd have to replace the entire main padding to replace that portion.

Nothing premium to note of considering I can get an all leather Steelcase leap v2 for around this price.

Seems to have been designed without the idea of a child that moves their legs around.

This was a product built to look good, and be comfortable for a child sized adult with perfect bowel control that also won't drop liquids or food in it.

My in-laws have (very generously!) offered to buy our one-month old a transitional car seat for Christmas. We have the Nuna Pipa and love it, and would prefer to stick with the brand. Knowing she won’t need it for a while, I’m torn between the Rava or Exec — I’ve looked at the comparisons for both but was hoping to hear from folks who are actually using them. Any endorsements or critiques?

I’m trying to figure out if I want the Revv or Exec car seat. I like the longevity of the Exec but the swivel feature on the Revv is very enticing. Anyone have any insight on either of these? All thought or opinions welcome as it is all info that will help me make my decision.

Leaning towards to buy an exec as the next car seat for our almost 40 lbs baby....

I am thinking of upgrading my kiddos car seat to the Nuna Exec and putting my Rava in my husbands car for the new baby, and doing two Execs in my car. The problem? A Nuna Rava fills the entire second row of my Tahoe. I have zero room to spare. So I need to know if someone who has a Suburban (high country if that matters in terms of space) or Yukon XL (Denali ultimate again if that matters) have Execs and if anyone has them in the third row.

Included models were looking into buying because of screens on the seat backs. If you have another model please let me know how they fit, and what you think of the EXEC. Our kiddo has stupid long legs. We want him rear facing until the limit.

I know the weight limit is 40lb which is stopping me from buying. My boy is already 25pounds at 1 year so thinking if I should buy Nuna revv or something else? What are the other good options? I am looking to buy high quality similar to Nuna but 360 rotating

2 Questions I would love some input on!

1. Thoughts on the Nuna Revv 360? Is it worth the $$$ or is something along the lines of the Jogger City Turn, Chicco, Britax or Evenflo a better buy?

2. Is the swivel feature worth it, or is the Nuna RAVA or Exec worth considering as well?

I’m trying to decide which nuna convertible car seat to get and can’t figure it out. I like the idea of the swivel feature for the Nuna Revv but it has a shorter height maximum (43in vs 49). Anyone have thoughts of those 6 inches make a huge difference? My thought was if I did the revv then I would be able to go directly to a booster afterward..or is that not safe? Help!

We’re ready to upgrade our LO from the infant car seats and are looking to purchase something that’ll last until we don’t need car seats any longer.

We’re a Nuna family however, I like the idea of a rotating car seat and having a cup holder for when my LO is older.

What are the main differences between the two? Does a rotating car seat make life easier? Is the Nuna exec worth the price? Are there better options out there?

Edit: The main reason we decided to purchase the rava & Exec was due to how amazing the Pipa lite was. Please don't ask for comparative recommendations as I have no experience with other products outside of a friend's Graco and the maxi cosi in my mother's car.

So I wasn't looking at getting a nuna exec, but I just found one open box for $225. It's normally $750. It's brand new and still has 9.5 years on the expiration. The only reason it's at this store is that it was returned and the box had a dent on the corner.

I was initially looking for one that snapped in and out of a stroller, and the exec doesn't. However, we will probably need two car seats anyway for our two vehicles. Would this + something else be a good option? From what I can tell, this is a super premium carseat and very safe, so it's tempting.

Not sure if this is the right place but figured I'd ask.

I have had a nuna exec car seat for my little one for over 2 yrs and it's been working great. I've cleaned it according to the manual and so on. today however the recline button is "stuck" and the seat no longer stays in one position. I've tried looking on google for a bit but it's not really showing anything that is helpful. hoping someone here might have ran into a similar situation and can provide some assistance.
