Yep. Remove the plastic anchor guides/protectors in the seat and then it's possible to get them in there. Volvo buried the anchors too deep and at a weird angle. More on reddit.com

Most vehicles don’t allow for latch borrowing so belt install is your only option if you want a middle seat instal. That said, why do you want a middle seat install? If it is because “that’s the safest,” the safest install spot is always where you get the best fit. I highly recommend checking out SEATS for Kids Discussion Group on FB, they have trained CPSTs that can offer install advice. More on reddit.com

We did a dry fit of the Pipa about 6m ago at a store with a CPST - it was a terrible fit in our SUV and the tech ranted about how much he hated the seat as it needs a mod (pool noodle etc.) in the vast majority of cars. If you’re interested in it I’d definitely recommend doing a dry fit before buying. For what it’s worth, we went with the Clek Liing and love it, super easy install and light More on reddit.com

My wife and I are expecting our first baby this August, so we’ve been checking out infant car seats. She really liked the Nuna Pipa infant car seat, so we went to a local store to test-fit the base in our car.
After several tries, we couldn’t get the latches to reach the metal bars in the back seat to lock in place. Later, I came across a Model Y group thread mentioning that the latches can be extended—but now I’m not sure if we had already extended them when we tried.
Has anyone successfully installed this car seat in a C40? Any tips?

In that thread they mention eventually using force. It may take 5 minutes instead of 5 seconds but try hard enough and it will latch. I feel like most smaller SUVs / CUVs are like that these days which is super annoying. On the bright side you only really do it once until you replace it

Hi all! This might be a long shot but we just tried installing our Nuna Pipa carseat in the middle seat of our 2021 RAV4 and it looks like the car doesn't have latch anchors for the middle seat? Is there another way aside from seatbelt to install the carseat in the middle? I'm so angry because we couldn't try installing it at the store because of COVID and now we obviously cannot return it. It's our first child and I'm not comfortable putting the carseat on any of the side seats.

Questions for you all - has anyone installed the Nuna Pipa car seat lately? I love how light it is and All the reviews I see are excellent, but there are big differences between then Canadian and US version.
I find needing to use a rolled up towel to level the seat a bit odd considering how much the seat costs itself!

My baby is 7 months old and we have been using the Pipa Lite and we love it. I believe they use the same base. I have to use a rolled up towel in my car because the backseat is on an incline. My partner has a full-sized truck and the base sits flat.
