After spending some time with the NuPhy Kick75 (Low Profile), I’ve got some thoughts. It's a hybrid mechanical keyboard, meaning you can switch between low profile and normal profile with the conversion kit. I tested the low-profile version.
Design & Build Quality
First off, the retro-style transparent body is cool, it gives it a unique look. It offers solid build quality for its price range. The thing that stands out to me is that, for a 75% keyboard, it feels a bit clunky with the spacing but not a lot. And then there’s the missing END key, just an empty space sitting there. I can live without it, but every time I look at that spot, I just think, "Why?" Feels like wasted potential.
Typing Experience
This is where the Kick75 shines. The Red Nano switches feel smooth, light, and super responsive. Whether you’re typing or gaming, it just feels good. No complaints here.
Connectivity & Software
Wireless performance? Mostly fine, but switching between Bluetooth devices can be a pain sometimes. It doesn’t always switch smoothly, which can get frustrating.
Now, let’s talk about nuphyIO web software. It’s simple, easy to use, but also kinda limited. There are some bugs, like Alt+Tab lock only working when wired and remapping keys like F21 just not working right. If you just want basic stuff it will be good, but if you’re the type that loves full customization, then the qmk/via version will be better.
If you want a keyboard that lets you switch between low and normal profiles and don’t mind working around a few rough edges, it’s still a solid pick. Also some of the stuff will hopefully be fixed with the next updates.
I also added pictures of the keyboard, how it looks with normal shine-through keycaps and how NuPhyIO looks.
it is an 8.5/10 for me if I am looking at the low profile selection and 7/10 if looking at it overall cuz there is some improvements needed with the software.
I got this as part of the NuPhy Experience Pioneers program.
Hi community, I am looking a mechanical keyboard to replace my actual keyboard. I was interested on this kick 75, but I was measuring my actual mechanical keyboard and I have the feeling that the high profile, seems to high, comparing my keyboard ad default setup. Ag work I have a normal profile that feel more as low profile. I tried both type profile into another brand, Logitech, both setup seems great. I use the keyboard for coding and gaming. Any suggestions between this two profiles?
Nuphy has just released probably the first ever hybrid profile mechanical that allows you to swap profiles. The conversion is not a matter of seconds/minutes, it takes some time though.

TL;DR
Who’s this kick-ass Kick’75 keyboard for?
I could highly recommend the NuPhy Kick’75 as quite possibly the best all-round keyboard out there, especially with its standout feature: the ability to switch between low-profile and normal-profile. This flexibility sets it apart, letting you tailor the typing experience to your preference — sleek and compact with low-profile switches or ergonomic and spacious with high-profile ones — all in one package. It’s a dream for anyone who values versatility without sacrificing quality, whether you’re typing, gaming, or tweaking it to perfection with its IO or QMK firmware options.
That said, a word of caution for those who aren’t keen on modding: switching profiles isn’t a plug-and-play process. If you’re too lazy to tinker, new to modding, or simply don’t have the time or patience to spend at least an hour swapping keycaps and potentially adjusting switches, this feature might feel more like a hassle than a perk. For you, I’d suggest a simpler solution — grab two Kick’75 boards instead: one low-profile and one high-profile. It’s a bigger investment, sure, but it saves you the effort and ensures you’ve got both experiences ready to go, no assembly required.
For everyone else willing to put in a little work, the Kick’75’s adaptability makes it an unbeatable all-round champ.
