• Do you always get the "Profile error occurred. Your preferences file is corrupt or invalid. NW.js is unable to recover your settings" error after the check disk finished running?
• Just to clarify, can you still log-in to the computer?
• Do you have any third-party web browsers installed on the computer?

NW.js s an app run-time based on Chromium. Chromium is a part of Google Chrome. It is possible that Google Chrome or other third party web browsers is causing the issue. We recommend isolating the issue by uninstalling Google Chrome or your other third party browsers for us to verify if you will encounter the issue.

this occurs when you revert back from a newer version of NWJS to an older version.

As for instance, if you began with Dtv standalone 1.1.5, upgraded to a Nightly, then switched back to Dtv 1.1.5 again for some reason.

As you may know, Dtv is written in JavaScript using the AngularJS framework, as a Chrome Browser extension.

The Dtv Standalone is the same JS code running under the NWJS environment (which includes an internal chromium browser) .

the solution is usually to return to using the newer version of the standalone.

then, if you really really really want to go back to an older version, you first take a backup using the Dtv > Settings > backup side panel,

then shut down Dtv,

then locate and delete the standalone Dtv data folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\DuckieTV-Standalone

then install and startup the older standalone package

then wait for the dust to settle after a couple minutes and

then import your Dtv backup data and settings file.

But in general I recommend sticking with the newer version which usually contains fixes to old bugs and enhancements.
