The new Oakley ski and snowboard helmet line including the Mod 5 was carefully thought out and the helmets not only look good in pictures, but they live up to the Oakley quality standard we come to expect.

January 4, 2025 - You either love the style or hate it. The new Oakley MOD5 Snow helmet is a little more toned down but still uniquely Oakley in appearance. It has more subtle adjustable vents and a very comfortable fit and feel.

I don’t like the Oakley helmet. I think I had the mod 5. The goggle clip at the back is loose and doesn’t fastened. it sounds stupid but I lost my goggle because of it. When you raise your goggle up the helmet and walked around, next thing you know it’s gone.

January 21, 2024 - The other special mention, for me, is the goggle integration. I expect an Oakley brand helmet to work with eyewear, and the Mod 5 knocks it out of the park. Both brims give you a tremendous amount of versatility, and they each only take a few minutes to take out and put in.

I don't remember reading anything about add-in modules for Bluetooth, but that would be slick if it did. My understanding was that the Mod 5 has modular brims for the front of the helmet to adjust the fit for various goggle models, to remove/reduce the gap between the helmet/goggle.

January 20, 2025 - Definitely a huge upgrade from the last model Mod5. Basically I would recommend bringing your goggles to see if they fit. The M4 are huge, so it may just be them. But I'm not buying new goggles for a helmet since I bought my goggles at the end of last season. Someone might have better luck if they have Oakley goggles.
